A RATHER ' WET' SUNNY MANILVA ON MONDAY AT THE START OF THE WEEK.

MONDAY 13th/ APRIL 2020.  “ STATE OF ALARM DAY 30 “

“ EASTER MONDAY “

After freshening up as I was on the breakfast rota this morning I treated us to my very special ‘ Toasted Crispy Smoked Bacon Butty’ – open on brown for Brenda – smothered in ‘HP’ Brown sauce, with mugs of very hot/strong ‘PG’ Tips Tea, to start the week in the right direction!

This morning, as forecast, it’s rather grey & overcast, with a low cloud base and the threat of rain in the air, by lunchtime, with a slight breeze, so it’s going to still reach 19 degs+ - overnight down to 13degs+ - all week the temperatures are hovering in the high ‘ teens’ – on Friday up to 21 degs+ - so the ‘ Rain’ will be warm! We are in for a week of unsettled weather with just the chance of some sunshine at times, next week is now looking very similar, watch this space.

PS; Heavy ‘ RAIN’ has just hit us!

Our dear friend ‘ Leah’ has just been and paid our half-yearly membership fee, for our ‘Emergency Heath Care’ cover, at the ‘ Helicopteros Sanitarios’ office along the coast road going out of Sabinillas, she dropped little ‘ Miss Bella’ off with us while she was out, a lovely surprise, she made a big fuss of us, as we did of her!

See below ‘ Bella’ on our bed!

“ CORONAVIRUS UPDATE – COVID 19 PANDEMIC “

‘ Day 30 ‘ of our total ‘ LOCKDOWN’  down here on the ‘ Costa Del Sol’ in sunny Manilva, all of the three ‘Police’ forces are out & about, along with the Army, maintaining all the rules, as the Spanish government looks to extend the ‘ LOCKDOWN’  for another 15 days from Sunday 26th April!

We are still shopping locally, at the shop in our street and the new supermarket ‘ Suma’  Leah is going to go down to ‘Mercadona’ in Sabinillas next week for our main shop, as usual.

We had a nice catch-up with Norah on the ‘ Skype’ video yesterday afternoon, then Jenny, later we made contact with Sandra & Bill over in Everett, Ontario, Canada, to toast ‘ Easter’ – they had glasses of ‘ Bucks Fizz’ and we had a nice class of chilled ‘Cava’!   “ CHEERS “

For our supper this evening we are having ‘ Cold Roast Chicken’ with all the leftover Vegetables & Roast Potatoes, on Tuesday it’s going to ‘Liver & Onions’ with Mashed potato, Wednesday is our ‘ Curry Night’ – Thursday will be a ‘leftovers’ day and on Friday we will have a ‘ Fish N ‘ Chip’ supper, Saturday, as usual, we will have our ‘ Steak Night’ and then this coming Sunday is still ‘TBC’ Watch this space.

I have been listening to the three local Radio Stations as I have been typing/posting today’s Blog, with the ‘Lockdown Show’ – I got the ‘Mystery Voice’ correct, it was Priti Patel, and then the ‘ Music Quiz’ came on and I also got it correct, it was David Bowie with ‘Lets’ Dance’!!
