A VERY WET SUNNY MANILVA ON WEDNESDAY.

WEDNESDAY 15th/ APRIL 2020.    “ STATE OF ALARM DAY 32 “

Just a little lie in this morning and then after a quick toast & tea it was time to get this evenings supper on the go.

We are having my now famous ‘ Chicken & Mushroom Curry ‘ – diced Chicken Breasts, seasoned in curried flour and browned off in Vegetable Oil, at the time I sweated off diced Onions, Shallots & Garlic, with a dash of ‘Lea & Perrins & Tabasco’ - along with six different curry powders! Next the diced Pineapple, ‘Fuji’ Apple and Baby Mushrooms ( tinned) are added along with a rich ‘Chicken & Vegetable’ stock, then five ‘Curry Pastes’ & Lime/Lemon juice, with the browned off Chicken, as well as the desiccated Coconut, the seasoning adjusted and left to cook-off under the able ‘eyes’ of the ‘Second Chef’ Served this evening with her famous ‘ Basmati Rice’ and Garden Peas with sliced Banana.

The ‘ Curry House ‘ is open!

Last night as we were going to bed the heavens opened, earlier in the evening the ‘Region’ was placed on ‘ Yellow/Orange’ alert, as an un-forecasted ‘ Atlantic’ storm was due to hit us! We had a cloud burst followed by thunder & lightening and a heavy rain storm, which is still this morning hitting us, the first proper ‘ Rain’ in over a year!! When it ‘Rains’ in Spain – it ‘ RAINS’!

The overall temperatures are still in the high ‘ teens’ – 19degs+ overnight down to 14 degs, with a light breeze, so it’s not cold, tomorrow is the same and then on Friday we could have some sunshine, before a wet weekend, next week is now looking rather unsettled, to say the least, with more of the ‘ Wet-Stuff’ around, before it clears by next weekend, watch this space.

Meanwhile over in Everett, Ontario, Canada, on Sunday lunchtime, as we were talking to Sandra & Bill, on the ‘Skype’ video it started to snow!

See below their outside back decking!

“ CORONAVIRUS UPDATE – COVID 19 PANDEMIC “

A ‘ good-day’ to be in ‘ LOCKDOWN’!

It’s all very quiet, as you would expect, the local shop is open as well the small supermarkets in ‘Calle Mar’ – and the ‘ Suma’ supermarket down in front of the Police/Fire stations, Brenda is going to ‘Mask/Glove’ up and go down to our local shop on Friday ( sunny & dry?!) morning, before calling into the ‘Chemists’ for some of our prescription tablets, then in the afternoon I will pop down to ‘Suma ‘ to stock up with the essentials, next week our friend Leah is going down to Sabinillas to shop at ‘Mercadona & Super Sol’ for us and herself!
