ANOTHER FINE, WARM DAY IN SUNNY MANILVA ON WEDNESDAY.

WEDNESDAY 16th/ NOVEMBER 2016.

We were up early this morning  as the painter, Antonio, was due back to carry on with the painting of the bathroom, bedroom, office and the lounge, he’s now working on the second coat,  Brenda shot down to the local Post Office, before breakfast, to post a ‘Birthday card’ to Australia, yesterday we received a ‘Wedding Anniversary card’ from Jenny, she posted it on Saturday, so it does work!

‘Reina’ was dropped off by Daniela, I’ve asked her if Lee could have a look/check of my computer systems, this evening, when they collect her, as I have a small problem with possible virus attacks on my ‘Windows’ programme, watch this space!

As she was coming back along ‘Calle Mar’ the Council ‘Parks’ Department workmen had stated to cut & trim all the trees, as Mario, the new Mayor, had promised, another great ‘ RESULT’! Watch this space for more necessary works/projects in and around the village happening!

We had our regular breakfast of ‘Weetabix’ fresh fruit, toast & tea, I then went around to the surgery for my appointment with our Doctor, Natalia, for my review/check up,  all my reports are fine, my blood pressure results are getting better and I’m feeling very well, she checked me out and reviewed my prescriptions, all fine, she has added some checks to my blood tests etc for the ‘Prostrate Consultant’ and she wants to see me before I go back to see him later in December, watch this space.

We have another glorious day here in sunny Manilva, the sun was out early, the sky is blue and there is no breeze, it was very pleasant as I walked down to the surgery, Brenda is putting the washing out up on the roof terrace/patio, the rest of the week is looking settled, for now, and we will find out later what is in stall for us over the weekend.

See below a picture of Monday's ' Super Moon' over Colwyn Bay - for the ' Moffatts' ! Where ever they are ?!

Yesterday Brenda had her ‘ Kidney Ecogram’ in the very efficient ‘ X-Ray’ department at the hospital ready for her appointment with the ‘ Kidney Consultant’ tomorrow evening, we then called into ‘ La Cañada’ to exchange my ‘ PJs’

On the way back as we were coming along the coast road into Sabinillas we passed a large low-loader lorry delivering the new bridge to go across the ‘ Rio Manilva’ down at the end of the promenade, this means that finally after many years of chasing the people of ‘Casares’ Costa will be able to walk into Sabinillas, see below a picture of the new footbridge on the lorry and how it will look when it’s installed!

For our supper this evening we are having for a change a quick version of the old classic ‘ Toad in the Hole’ using ‘English Farmhouse Sausages’ from the ‘English’ Butchers in Duquesa, served with a rich Onion Gravy, Smoked English Back Bacon, finely sliced green Beans and the rest of the ‘ Boulangere’ Potatoes on the side

.
Tomorrow night it’s the ‘ Chef’s & Staff’ night off – we are going to call into –La Sala’ in Puerto Banus for a light supper on the way back from the hospital past Marbella, I have a new ‘ Club Card ‘ giving us a small discount!

Last night after supper we channel hopped and ended up watching the ‘International Friendly Football’ between England & Spain at Wembley Stadium’ – it was not that ‘ Friendly’ as the fouls went in! England led 2-0 up to the final five minutes, before letting Spain back into the game, who then scored two goals to make it 2-2!

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
