We were both up early this morning, before sunrise,
we shot down to the surgery in the car, I left it in the ‘ Mayor’s’ spot in front of the Town Hall at the top of
our street, overnight! Brenda had her appointment for a ‘ECG’ – she went straight
in and we were back in time to see ‘ Reina’ back with us for the day. Brenda is
taking things very easy today as her legs are acting up, they are swollen and
giving her ‘Jip’ – she has her appointment with our Doctor tomorrow lunchtime,
we think it’s a change in her prescription tablets, Natalia, our Doctor, will
sort it out, watch this space.
This morning it's back to normal in sunny Manilva; there was a brilliant red sunrise over the Mediterranean, the sky is blue and the white clouds are high, the sun is out and it's crisp & warm, by lunchtime it's due to reach nearly 20degs, - tomorrow we could have some of the wet stuff but then on Friday and over the weekend into next week it's looking dry & sunny again.

Yesterday evening we had a very nice supper
with Gillian down at ‘ Restaurant La Choza’ – the staff are very attentive, the
place is tastefully decorated for Xmas, to start Brenda had ‘ Grilled Asparagus
Spears with Serrano Ham & a light Cheese sauce’ – Gillian chose the ‘ Scrambled
Egg with Spinach & Prawns’ and I had their excellent ‘ Seafood Crepe in the
light Cheese sauce’
For our main course Brenda selected the ‘
Baked Tranche of Rodaballo – Turbot’ resting on a bed of garlic sliced
Potatoes, Gillian fancied a ‘Grilled Entrecote Steak’ with seasonal vegetables
& potatoes and I had their large ‘ Grilled T-Bone Steak’ with ‘ Frits’! See
the pictures below;
I chose an excellent bottle of ‘Rueda White Rioja’ to start and
then the girls had another excellent ‘Red Rioja’- by the glass, on the house we
had a rather different ‘ Caramel Liquor’ – thanks Gillian for our 45th
‘Wedding Anniversary’ supper!
This morning after our ‘Continental
Breakfast’ here in the only ‘ Boutique
Hotel’ in the village, I took Gillian across to Estepona to her friend’s
apartment in the centre of the town, she is staying with them for the next few
days, the main square is being redeveloped – at the moment it’s a very large
& deep hole?! Watch this space.
This evening we going down to the surgery,
again, for our appointments with the ‘ Chiropodist’ – I have left the car in
the lower square, for now, on the way back we are going to pick up a ‘ Fish
& Chip’ supper from Marlow’s!
Thoughts for the Day; See above.
