We were up at the crack of dawn, in fact
before dawn, we had a quick freshen up and then shot off on our travels; as we
drove down to the Sabinillas the bright ‘Red Sun’ was just coming up above the ‘Mediterranean’
creating a beautiful coloured sky, as we went along the coast road past Marbella
it became a rich golden/blinding ‘sunshine’ as we reached the ‘ Costa Del Sol
Hospital’
Brenda went straight in for her Blood tests,
in fact a little early, we then went up to main desk to chase up Brenda’s appointment
for her Kidney ‘Ecogram' – they sent
us around to the bookings office were a very nice lady then showed us around
the Hospital to the ‘X-Ray’ Department, they took all our details and checked
the phone contact numbers, they are going to ring us, watch this space, on the
way to the Cafeteria we checked out the ‘Kidney Department’ were Brenda has her
appointment next week, the Hospital is maze, so it’s good to know your way
around!
" RESULT " The Hospital has just rung this evening and we now have an appointment for Brenda's ' Ecogram' next Tuesday afternoon! Her appointment with the ' Kidney Consultant' is next Thursday evening, this means that we now have two round trips of over 100 kms per trip!!
We then had our morning coffee & toast( English) before heading off out back to Marbella and the ‘La CaƱada‘ shopping mall.

As we set off this morning it was very
fresh & crisp with a stiff breeze, overnight the temperature dropped to
10degs;
As the morning went on it steadily got
warmer and by lunchtime in Marbella it was nearly 25degs! The rest of the week
and over the weekend is looking settled and even getting a little warmer.
We popped in ‘ C & A’ and ended up
buying our ‘ Xmas’ presents for one another! Brenda has a nice selection of jumpers
(2) a dress Shirt, ‘PJ’s’- a loose top
and Slippers! I’ve got a very nice Maroon Cashmere jumper with a matching Shirt,
Pyjamas, Boxer shorts and Slippers!! ‘
Derby & Joan’ are home!!
We then had a ‘Al Freso’ snack in the new Health Food & Drink Cafe’ – Brenda had a ‘Apple,
Spinach, Avocado & Pineapple ‘ Smoothie’ with a toasted ‘Cheese &
Tomato’ Bun and I had a fresh Orange juice with my favourite ‘ Eggs Benedict ‘
- Smoked Ham on a toasted Buns topped with a poached Eggs and smothered in ‘Hollandaise’
sauce, not very healthy but delicious anyway!!
We then popped into ‘ Leroy Merlin’ for a quick look around before calling into ‘Habitat’
for some assorted night lights/candles and spotted some very nice ‘Throws’ for
the settees, we shall return on another day!
It was then time to return to the Hospital
for my appointment with my ‘Prostrate Consultant’- sadly and very unusually,
for him. he kept us waiting for over an hour! Then the news was not good, my ‘PSA’ reading
was up, it means that I have to have more blood tests etc and return to see him in
the middle of December! I’m not a very ‘ Happy Bunny’!!
On the way back we called into the ‘Bed
& Furniture Hypermarket’ to collect the new ‘ Extraction Hood Filter’ that
the very helpful lady assistant, Inma, had managed to find for us, we ordered
another one to keep for spare in the future! It was then time to head back along the coast up to sunny Manilva.
For our supper this evening we are having
the rest of the ‘ Chicken, Smoked Bacon & Mushroom ‘Tarragon’ Casserole’
with this time Garden Peas and a some ‘ Frits’ The Beef Curry’ will keep for
tomorrow night.
We will then settle down to watch next
episode of ‘ The Missing ’ – last night we caught the first of the new series of ‘
Master Chef – The Professionals’ – the first task for three of the Chefs was to
cook a classic ‘ Steak Diane ‘ as shown earlier by the ‘ Michelin’ starred Chef
‘ Marcus Wareing’ – he did trim and flatten the Sirloin Steak, the three Chefs
didn’t! The method/sauce was right except he
didn’t smother the steaks in mustard!! It’s
not a ‘ Chefs’ dish anyway, the Head Waiter or the Restaurant Manager are in
charge, at the ‘Hotel Seventy Degrees’ we had an Italian waiter , Jo Zanni, on the ‘ Gueridon Lamps’ as we used to do
more than 50 lamp dishes on a good night!!
Thoughts for the Day; See above.
