I was up first this morning to see ‘ Reina’
back with us for the day, ‘Pax’ has slept all night, yesterday evening ‘ Chispa’
joined us for the evening walk down the bottom of the village. The village is very
quiet, this morning, all our neighbours are going off to the local cemetery,
next to the church, with large flower displays, it’s an official Bank Holiday here in Spain, ‘
Dia De Todos Los Santos – All Saints Day’
See below the village cemetery by the side of the church, there are nine more walls of flowers!

As
we were getting dressed and ready Lyn came online on the ‘Skype’ video from
Melbourne, it was 7-20 pm over there, 9-30 am here, after the clocks going back
an hour on Sunday! They has been watching in the afternoon the ‘ Melbourne Cup Horse
Race’ - they are both well and looking forward to going away, for a week, in their
caravan, with the local caravan club, they are going up to the ‘ Murray River ‘
area around Mildura. It’s still quite cold over in Australia, their summer has
yet to start!
Over here this morning its overcast &
cloudy, as forecast, the sun is due to break through later in the day, it’s
dropped a couple of degrees over night, 16/23 for now! The rest of the week is
now looking dry with sunny spells, cloudy to start, the weekend is the same,
for now, watch this space.
At lunchtime as it went so nice, the sun was out, the sky was blue, we went up to 'Bar Rojas' for a cool drink, we stayed for a nice lunch, Tapas for Brenda & the Pork Casserole with fresh 'Frit's' for me! A English couple, Stuart & Madeline, came along and we recommended them to stop, they did and Susanna made them a fresh Paella, then another couple came along, Allan & Debroah, from Aberdeen, and we ended up having a good char with them and another drink, they have an apartment on the far side of Estepona and are over here for sic months of the year nice meeting you and we hope to see you again up here in sunny Manilva!
See below some pictures taken this lunchtime of 'Estepona Golf Club' at its finest, come on down Tim, it's waiting for you!

This evening we are having Pan-Seared ‘
Escalope’s of Chicken Breast ‘ in Lime Butter, with finely sliced Green Beans
& sautéed, thick-cut slices of Baked Potato with a pool of Tomato Salsa on
the side. On Wednesday it’s going to be our favourite ‘ Grilled Gammon Steaks
with Chips’ – Thursday will be something from the deep freeze before Fridays ‘Fish
Supper’- Saturday is going to be a nice steak in a sauce, for a change, and
then on Sunday its TBC!
We watched al the quiz shows in the
afternoon/early evening and then after supper we caught the chilling two-part
fact-based period ( Sunderland) crime
drama ‘ Dark Angel’ about the serial,
Victorian Poisoner ‘ Mary Ann Cotton’ (played by Joanne Froggatt) who raised herself
socially and financially through adultery, bigamy, fraud and murder! Don’t drink
her tea, from her mother’s old teapot, she uses Arsenic!! I think the ‘Gallows’
are waiting in ‘Durham Jail’ at the end of next week’s final part?!
Thoughts for the Day; See above.
