FRIDAY 25th/ NOVEMBER 2016.
I was up early this morning and shot out on
my travels down to Sabinillas for the weekly shopping, Brenda saw ‘ Reina’ back
with us for the day, I had to go to our Bank, again, as the problem with the online
banking system for our new ‘Savings’ account is still not coming online?! With the
Managers help, a phone call to the head office has been made,in Madrid, and
E-Mails have been sent, watch this space!
I then carried on to ‘ Mercadona’ for the
main shop, next I called into the ‘Wholesale/Retail’ Fruit & Vegetable
Market, I then shot along the promenade to
the local market for the fresh flowers and wall plants, finally I stopped at ‘
Super Sol’ for the English essentials.
I then came back up the hill to a rather
cloudy & overcast sunny Manilva to the house to unload, I then popped along
to the local Bank in ‘Calle Mar’ to pay the water bill, overnight it got a
little wet, to say the least, but this morning I’ve managed to miss the
showers, the forecast for the next few days and into next week is not looking
good, rain & winds, the ‘ Atlantic’ front is not moving on, the overall
temperatures are dropping a little, in fact its’ the coldest it’s been in many
years during the night, not good drying weather!
Brenda has just walked around/down the
surgery for her ‘ ECG’ – she was all wired up and the machine didn’t work, they
tried repairing it with no luck, she now has to go back nearly next Tuesday
morning to try again, as her appointment with our Doctor is on Wednesday! We also
have our appointments with the ‘ Chiropodist’ on Tuesday evening.
Our plans for this weekend have been
somewhat disrupted, to say the least, our friend Gillian is not now arriving
until Sunday lunchtime, this means that I have had to cancel our ‘ Sunday Roast
Lunch’ out at the ‘ Beach House’ in Elviria, which we were looking forward too,
we are moving our ‘Saturday Night Steak Night’ to Sunday evening, she is now
only with us for two days as I’m taking her across to Estepona on Tuesday
morning to stay with some other friends, watch this space.
PS; Tuesday is our 45th Wedding
Anniversary, at the moment we have no plans, watch this space.
For our supper this evening we are having ‘
Goujons of Hake Fillet’ using local breadcrumbs, Mushy Peas & twice-cooked
diced ‘ Frits’ with Homemade ‘Tartar’ sauce on the side, tomorrow night is yet
to be decided.
Last night we channel hopped and watched
nothing in particular!
