THURSDAY 3rd/JULY
2014.
It’s
another hot and sunny day here in sunny Manilva; in the mountains outside Madrid yesterday they had a meter of
snow/hailstones in a village when nothing was forecast! There is a little
breeze this morning that makes it even more pleasant, the schools are now on
holiday for the next three months so the children come out to play in the
evenings until late as it cools down a little!
After
breakfast I went and collected the car and came back up to pick Brenda up so as
we could go down to the surgery to finalize/sort out the last of the ‘Red Tape’
to do with her new prescriptions/documents – she managed to see Emilio the main
doctor with out an appointment and was able with the help of a very nice
visiting ‘Cardiology Consultant’ who spoke very good English get things sorted
– fingers crossed!
The
Consultant who was there quite by chance said that the report from the hospital
said that for a person of her age her heart, artery’s and valves were in very
good condition! Good news – as we thought!
This
morning we have had more get well soon greetings from locals in the street, our
butcher’s partner, Lumy’s niece and Andy our friend and his partner Anna Marie and an E-Mail from Kelvin & Gaye over in North Wales..Also some 'Get Well' cards from her sisters over in England,we are going to try and make contact with Jack and Lyn on the 'Skype' video over the weekend as they are high up on the Western coast by Broome - the last we heard.
Last night
we has planned to have supper with Brian but he sent a ‘Viber’ message (let me
know if you use it!) to say that he could not make it back from Sabinillas in
time as he had met a very old friend; I took a picture to show him what he had
missed and it’s in the fridge for his meal today – don’t ask!!
Tonight its
Omelet’s for supper, Cheese for Brenda and Smoked York Ham for me. Tomorrow
night Brenda has requested for a treat that she would like the ‘Goujons of Hake
Fillet in Cruz Campo Batter’ as she is getting a little fed up with her diet!! I’
am going to speak to her personal ‘Dietician’ chef and see what he says!!
As I was
coming back up to the house after parking the car they had started re-tiling
the main Mosaic in ‘Plaza De La Vendimia’that fell down due to the lack of
adhesive in the first place, also they have put a new barrel up as one of them
mysteriously disappeared! See the pictures above.
Thoughts
for the Day; See above
