A VERY HOT AND SUNNY MANILVA ON TUESDAY;

TUESDAY 1st/JULY 2014.

The health update on Brenda is that she is sleeping a lot better despite the heat, her colour is back and she feels a lot better than this time last week, she is breathing fine but is not attempting any walking until she feels better on her feet, the swelling on her ankles and legs has gone down/away, she is still rather stiff and black & blue from the heart check operation – she is tired but taking things easy with her feet up! Her new tablet regime kicked off this morning with a small chart to tell her when to take the various tablets. She’s not her enjoying her salt-free diet and the lack, at the moment of the occasional Gin & Tonic and a glass of Rose/White wine or two!

This morning after breakfast with Brian, I went and got him from the local bread shop some fresh small local Baguettes to toast and made him some of his favorite Tomato Salsa by grating a fresh local Tomato, with Virgin Olive Oil on the side – Oil spread first then the salsa! A very traditional Spanish Breakfast!!

We then had visitors for the rest of the morning up to lunchtime; Den & Josie came first bearing fresh fruit, then lots of our Spanish neighbors and friends, Marie Louise ( with a large box of biscuits) two Anna’s, Pedro from across out street, Beli ( from the local shop) and Francisco from next door!

Brian before he went out for the day had a chat with Den & Josie and then after they had left he sorted out our two new Mobiles and then came upstairs to the office and did some sorting/updating on both PCs! Thanks ‘Big Bri!’

So now it’s time to watch the afternoon main news and weather updates before a little reading and a ‘Siesta’

This evening after supper we will no doubt watch some football as one of the Spanish Channels shows one of the matches every night with the highlights of the other game taking place later from the ‘World Cup’

Thoughts for the Day;See above.
