A VERY HOT AND SUNNY MANILVA ON TUESDAY;

TUESDAY 15^th/ JULY 2014.

I was up before dawn this morning to take Brian across to the Bus Station in Marbella to catch his flight back from Malaga to Helsinki, he then drives back to Pori into the arms of his loved-one Lilli! He will return in the next two/three weeks in the car with their two dogs and possible Lilli as she has some possible interviews being set up – watch this space.

After dropping Brian off ( see the picture below of a not very happy bunny! ) I went onto ‘Leroy Merlin’ to pick up the new front door shutters, they are looking rather good and our friend Antonio the painter and handyman is coming to hang them ASAP as well as another wall pot!

Meanwhile back in ‘Doggy World Heaven’ Brenda was left in charge of first little ‘Princess Reina’ and then a bit later ‘Scruffy’ – when I got back to the house they all made all made a big fuss of me ( including Brenda !) They have both settled down and are now playing around, ‘Reina’ downstairs as she is not allowed stairs at the moment and ‘Scruffy’ is under my feet as I’ am typing the Blog; we have just been for a nice walk with both of them along Calle Mar and all the locals are amazed to see us with two dogs, all we need now is for ‘Chispa’ to come calling and we will have the ‘House-Full’ sign up!

It was nice this morning to be out in the fresh air before the sunrise as today and then tomorrow are getting hotter before it levels out into the weekend and next week, already its in the high 30s and in some places over 40degs!

                                         " NEW MOON OVER THE CITY " 

Yesterday afternoon over in Cheshire David & Paul announced their latest venture under the “ New Moon Pub Company ” Their sixth in the ‘Empire’ is the ‘Linenhall Bar-Dining’ in Watergate street in the heart of Chester, its already successful and is now to set become an even more successful business under their wing, later in the year they are going to give it an upgrade/makeover and then a full re-launch! At the moment the ‘Old Sessions House’ in Knutsford has just under gone a very quick refurbishment/kitchen upgrade( 2 days!) after two year of a successful and very busy start!

Today it’s a rest day in the ‘Tour De France’ after a very exciting and sometimes sad start to the Tour, Contador had Broken his leg after the crash yesterday but got back on his bike and rode on for quiet a while before retiring, they are very hard men these bike riders!

Before I put the car away I called into the butchers and picked up a Chicken Breast which he fillets for me,we are having it tonight for our supper pan-fried dry for Brenda and in foaming Lemon Butter for me with dry sautéed thick-cut sliced Baked Potato and Diamond cut Green Beans.

We will the settle back into our normal lifestyle for now down here in a very hot and sunny Manilva after all the last few weeks excitement/happenings!
