A VERY HOT AND SUNNY MANILVA ON SATURDAY;

SATURDAY 5th/JULY 2014.

We all had a good long sleep and a little lie in this morning until the delivery vans came down our street; the forecast for today is more of the same, very hot and sunny down here on the ‘Costa Del Sol’ After our regular breakfast Brian joined us for his ‘Spanish Special’ – I had been out to our local ‘Campo’ vegetable shop for some Peppers and so I picked up some fresh local warm bread for Brian’s breakfast at the same time.

No plans for today, Brian is going for a swim up at the Manilva Green Apart Hotel later; this morning the ‘Prep Chef’ who is back in work now after her little ‘Adventure’- is getting the ingredients ready for my famous ‘ Ensalillida Rusa’ – people queue at the front door ( well Mano & Anna!) for some!

This evening for our supper we are having ‘Entrecote’ steak with all the trimmings for me, Brenda is just having a little slice with some dry ingredients – all ‘Sin – Salt!’ Sorry!

Today is the start of a big sports weekend over in England; up in Yorkshire it’s the 1st Stage of the ‘Tour De France’ from Leeds to Harrogate – come on Mark Cavendish – win the sprint finish and take the famous ‘Yellow’ jersey for the first time! Down at Silverstone it’s the qualifying for the ‘British Grand Prix’ in the rain! – come on Lewis Hamilton and finally at Wimbledon it’s the final of the ‘Ladies Tennis’

The sad news is that Mark Cavendish crashed in the final 100 metres and dislocated his shoulder and is out of the Tour; Roseberg 1 Vettle 2 Button 3 Hamilton 6 ! and 'Kvitova' won in the Tennis.

Last night in the ‘World Cup’ over in Brazil it was the first two quarter finals, Germany beat France and play Brazil in the semi-final after they beat Columbia, tonight the other two quarter finals take place

Argentina won and Holland won on penalties so they play in the second semi-final..

Thoughts fro the Day; See above.
