A NOW ' FRESH & CRISP' SUNNY MANILVA ON WEDNESDAY.

WEDNESDAY 11th/ DECEMBER 2019.

I was up very early, again, this morning to welcome back little ‘ Miss Bella’ with us for the day, she, as usual, shot upstairs and joined us on the bed, meanwhile ‘ Chico’ stayed on his made-up bed, for a further lie in for all of us! Tomorrow morning ‘ Chico’ is due to be collected, on Saturday ‘ Nacho’ is with us for the day, next week little ‘ Miss Bella’ is back with us for four days from next Monday/Thursday, then on the Saturday ‘ Pucci’ is due to arrive for her two-week holiday over Xmas/New Year, finally on the Sunday ‘ Chico’ is back for his weeks holiday over Xmas!

It’s all happening in ‘ Doggy World Heaven’ !!

After freshening up we took both the dogs out for their first walk of the day, around the bottom of the village, they are no problem and are getting on very well, they have very good appetites and are both great company, when we returned with had our regular fresh fruit( sliced Bananas) with toast & tea.

Overnight the breeze picked up, so this morning it was rather ‘ fresh & crisp’ to start the day, the clouds are clearing and the sun is now breaking through, so by lunchtime it will warmer & sunny, reaching 18 degs+ - over the next couple of days and the weekend, it’s staying the same, with a few patchy clouds, hovering in the mid/high ‘ teens’ – next week as the next cold & wet ‘ Atlantic’ front comes in, we are going to be in for some of the ‘ Wet-stuff’ – going a little cooler also, dropping down to as low as 13/14 degs at times, overnight only  8/9 degs! Watch this space.

Ii was then time to get ready this evenings supper of my version/recipe of a traditional “ Lancashire Hotpot “ – I first brown-off the seasoned ‘Spanish Lamb Cutlets’ on a very hot griddle-plate, they are then layered in the ‘Hot Pot ‘ with sliced Onions & Shallots and a little Garlic, with diced Carrots, Leeks, Celery & Turnips & sliced Baby Mushrooms, together with hand-sliced Potatoes, each layer getting thinner, seasoning each layer, before adding/topping up the ‘Hot Pot’ with a rich ‘Meat & Vegetable’ stock – then sealed with tin-foil and the lid, ready to go into a very hot oven this evening, the lid and tin-foil are taken off later and knobs of Butter are dotted over the top layer of Potatoes to brown & crisp off! Served with Cabbage with Acelgas and Pickled Baby Beetroots. “ Comfort Food to Die For “

After supper we will settle down and channel hop, last night we caught the pen-ultimate episode of “Gold Digger’ as more revelation’s of his past came out, then later it was the last episode of the excellent ‘Rick Stein’s Secret France’

Tomorrow ‘ Blog’ will just be a little one as we are heading off on our travels in the afternoon, on the ‘Pensioner’ coach trip to Malaga, to see the new spectacular ‘Xmas Lights & Music ‘ extravaganza, along ‘ Calle Larios’ in the centre of the city, before ‘ hitting’ various Bars, Cafes & Restaurants, as well as a little ‘ window shopping’ – watch this space for all the pictures on Friday’s Blog!

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
