A GREY & OVERCAST AND RATHER DAMP SUNNY MANILVA ON THURSDAY.

THURSDAY 19th/ DECEMBER 2019.

I was up early this morning to welcome back little ‘ Miss Bella’ for the last time this week, she shot upstairs and had a nice lie in with us, after freshening up  we had our normal light breakfast of fresh fruit ( sliced Banana) toast & tea.

Brenda then popped down to the local shop for some fresh essentials, where she bumped into Isabel’s daughter Pacqui, who told her that ‘ Chispa’ had not been very well over the weekend and on Monday had a nasty operation, when ‘ Chisp’ last called in to see us last week, she was not her normal self, she was very quiet, didn’t look well and was not eating! It turned out that she had a large growth on her stomach.

We shot down to Isabel’s house and little ‘ Chispa’ greeted us, with a head collar/cone on, she has a large scar with lots of stitches, she is back to her normal happy self  & was very happy to see us, she is eating & drinking, she has had a large, benign 1 kilo growth taken away, the stitches are due to be taken off at the end of the week, great news, we look forward to seeing her over Xmas when ‘Pucci & Chico’ are with us in ‘Doggy World Heaven’ Watch this space.

Overnight we have had some light rain, but it’s was not windy, as the forecasted ‘ Storm Elsa’ is not due to hit us until later today ( 6-00 pm ) – when the ‘ Costa Del Sol’ is now on ‘ Yellow/Orange’ Alert for the weekend ahead  – tomorrow is going to be the day when we have gale-force winds and heavy rain, it’s staying with us over the weekend, the overall temperatures are still hovering on the 16/17 degs mark, next ‘Xmas Week’ is now looking a lot more settled, back to warm & sunny, with a few patchy clouds hanging around, with a lighter breeze, hovering on the 18/19 degs mark, watch this space.

Last night we had a brilliant Red sunset and a spectacular sky, over the village, this morning it was also a rather special sunrise over the Mediterranean, as you can see in the picture below, down in Sabinillas, a friend walking into Gibraltar took a picture as well, meanwhile over in North Wales, over the ‘ Menai Bridge’ to Anglesey they were also having a Red start to the day!

This evening it’s the ‘ Christmas Carol Concert’ down in the ‘ Iglesia Santa Ana Church’ with the local choirs and the ‘Manilva Brass Band’ performing, depending on the weather we are going to walk around to the Church before our supper! ( Chicken & Mushroom Tarragon Casserole!)  Watch this space.

Tomorrow morning I will be going out on my travels, down to Sabinillas, for our main ‘Xmas’ shopping, well wrapped up in my waterproofs, to catch the local bus, as at the moment there is no sign of the car being back from the garage after it’s repairs and re-taking the ‘ITV-MOT’ – I will come back up to our house in a taxi, watch this space.

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
