I was up very early this morning to see
little ‘ Miss Bella’ back with us for the day, she is also now back with us
tomorrow morning, she then, as usual, shot upstairs onto our bed and we all had
a nice long lie in, in fact we overslept!
After freshening up we had our regular
light breakfast of fresh fruit ( Bananas) toast & tea, before getting the
day on the go, I went down to our local ‘Butchers’ in the now nearly finished
new ‘Calle Iglesia’ – I bought some ‘ Chicken Wings’ for another day and
ordered some of his excellent ‘ Diced Beef’ for tomorrow morning.
We have now agreed the ‘ Menu’s for this
week; this evening we are having a ‘ Soft Mixed Grill ‘ – of homemade ‘ Grilled
English Farmhouse Pork Sausages, English Smoked Back Bacon, with seared Button
Mushrooms & Plum Tomatoes, ‘ Campo’ Fried Eggs and ‘ Heinz’ Baked Beans,
with sautéed slices of Baked Potato’!
On Wednesday I’m making a ‘ Beef &
Vegetable Stew ‘ – which on Thursday will a ‘Pan of Scouse’- as I add diced
Boiled Potatoes. As usual Friday will be a ‘Fish Supper’ – and then On Saturday
our ‘ Steak Night’ – on Sunday we are having for a change ‘ Braised Lamb Shanks’
in a Minted Gravy.
Overnight we had no more rain, this morning
it’s started grey & overcast with the threat of the ‘ Wet-Stuff’ hanging in
the air, there is a light breeze, so by lunchtime it’s due to reach 16 degs+
overnight down to 11/12 degs, with a little sunshine later, tomorrow and over
the next few days over the weekend we are in for a period of unsettled weather,
it’s forecasting Patchy/Moderate Rain, partly cloudy at times, with the chance
of the sun breaking through, next week is now looking very similar, but slowly
going a little warmer & dry, hovering in high ‘ teens’ – 18/19degs+ watch this space.
As I’m typing/ posting today’s Blog I’m as
usual listening to “ Castle Radio FM 89.2 & Online on the WWW “ as the
David Sibbald ‘ Country Classics ‘ Show ‘ blasts out’ – on Sunday, before we
went out, I got the ‘Film Quiz’ on the ‘Pete
Black Retro Roadshow’ right, it was ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’ – this week’s
‘ Music Quiz’ on the ‘ Andrew Charles Breakfast Show’ is a little difficult, it’s
a 15 second intro-track of an ‘Xmas’ song – ( Bing Crosby/Jim Reeves?!) I will
get it tomorrow when he gives some ‘cryptic’ clues!
After supper we will settle down and
channel hop to find something to watch, last night we caught the last episode
of the excellent ‘ Vienna Blood’ – catch it if you can.
Thoughts for the Day; See above.
