AN OVERCAST & CLAMMY SUNNY MANILVA ON THURSDAY;

THURSDAY 11^th/ JUNE 2015.

We had a little lie in this morning before the builders got into full steam, they are erecting the scaffolding for the next floor along with the steel and wooden shuttering, so lots of drilling and knocking! I’ve made contact, finally, with our handyman and he’s coming on Saturday morning to do all the repairs and fit in our new small kitchen – fingers crossed and watch this space – ‘Hasta Manana’

It’s an overcast and grey day so far this morning but its still warm with the temperature at around 29degs – so its offially ‘clammy’! The rest of Spain is colder with rain & hail so we can’t complain; over the weekend it’s getting back to normal with clear blue skies and the sun out!

After breakfast I made tonight’s supper “Chicken & Mushroom Curry” to my own recipe using Pineapple & Apple, Dessicated Coconut and of course lots of secret ingredients – the aromas are wafting up the street – the ‘Manilva Curry House’ is open for business! Brenda’s getting the Basmati Rice on the go; we are also having some Nan Bread (Iceland) Banana slices and Garden Peas for color. See below ( Mobile Phone pic)!

In ‘Doggy World Heaven’ today ‘Chispa’ is here playing around my feet as I’m typing the Blog and at the same time on the smaller PC I’m listening to ‘Castle Radio FM 89.2’ - Through my stero speakers and sub woofer – ‘LOUD’ – its 60s music morning i.e. The Beatles, The Four Most, The Swinging Blue Jeans, The Searchers etc!

Tomorrow morning we are out first thing for the weekly shopping then on Saturday it’s the ‘Romeria Festival’ parade at 11-00am and then in the Council Chambers ( Salon De Plenos) at 11-00am also it's the inauguration of the new Mayor; next week we have to fit in a shopping expedition to Marbella and also a visit to the hairdresser’s for the ‘birthday girl’ in between our commitments in ‘Doggy World Heaven with ‘Reina & Scruffy’- TBC.

I’ve booked a table next Sunday for lunch at ‘Cocomo’ to celebrate Brenda’s birthday which is on the Monday the 22^nd.

It’s looking like our ‘Happy Hour’ will be inside this afternoon before supper later; we will then channel hop to find something to watch – not a good week so far on the film front!
