A VERY HOT & SUNNY MANILVA ON TUESDAY;

TUESDAY 2^nd/ JUNE 2015.

No lie in this morning as ‘Reina’ was due to be dropped off first thing; yesterday afternoon when Lee & Daniela collected her they brought us some very welcome gifts, litre bottles of ‘Bacardi & Bombay Sapphire’ for the sprit cupboard!! They had been in Edinburgh for Daniela’s grandmother’s 80^th birthday celebration over the weekend with all the family. Many thanks for the contribution!

Later just as we were starting our ‘Happy Hour’ Mano & Anna called in for a chat and gossip so they joined us, when Mano calls in it gives me a chance to make sure that I’m understanding and translating the news correctly as we only have, by choice, Spanish TV. ‘Scruffy’ was picked up just as they were leaving, he’s back on Friday as Rose had an appointment at the hospital over in Malaga for a checkup scan.

After breakfast I went and brought the car up from the garage to check the oil & water and then carried on down to the surgery and made the appointments, for both of us, to update our prescriptions and have a checkup at the same time, our regular Doctor has had an accident and broken her arm so we will have to take pot luck with the relief Doctor on Friday lunchtime.

Last night over in Liverpool the ‘New Moon Pub Company’ had a ‘Soft Opening’ of their latest venture in their ‘Empire’ before the official opening on Friday of 'The Old Blind School’ – see the pictures above.

Today its getting even hotter, the sun was out early and by lunchtime it will be around the 28/29degs mark, inland its due to reach 39/40 degs in places, the sky is blue and there is just a very light breeze to make it just bearable! Later in the week it’s getting warmer and then over the weekend is settling down.

At lunchtime we went for a nice walk with 'Reina'  & 'Chispa' and ended up sat in the garden of 'Carlos's Bar Antuigdades' for a nice cool drink taking in the views across to the mountains as the world passed by!

This evening for our supper we are having ‘Pork Fillet Schnitzels ’using fresh breadcrumb’s from the bakery with ‘Spaghetti Milanese’ & sautéed Mushrooms, I will top mine with a ‘Campo’ Fried Egg, Capers & Anchovy Fillets – “ Holstein” style!

Later this afternoon the cement truck/pump was back at the site as they lied the ground floor; See the pictures above. NB; Note the polystyrene sheets against our walls before the cement!   ( I've just put my initials in it 'MLS' for posterity!)

The roof terrace will be in use later after the sun moves around and then after supper we will find something to watch after channel hopping.

Tomorrow at lunchtime we are going down the coast to Sotogrande Marina for a al fresco ‘Tapas’ lunch at the ‘KE’ Bar – watch out for the pictures later in the afternoon!
