We took no
notice of the workmen this morning so just turned over and had a lie in anyway!
The sun was out early and by 9-30am it was all ready 27degs & getting hotter
as the day goes on, the forecast for the rest of the week and over the weekend
is for more of the same.
After
breakfast we are getting ourselves sorted for the day’s festivities ahead, we
are showering and have the outfits ready; we are collecting Josie at 1-00pm and
will then go down the coast road to Sotogrande Marina for our light Tapas lunch
at the “KE” Bar on the front.
As you can see we had another fine Tapas lunch with Josie, the ladies both had the Prawns in Cheese sauce followed by the Chicken Brochettes, I had the Russian salad followed by the Chicken in a Mustard sauce and also a Brochette! Watch out for the pictures above later; Thanks Josie!

Last night
we did not go down to Sabinillas for the ‘San Juan ’ fire festival, we stayed in like
‘Derby & Joan’ sat on the settee in front of the TV! The village was very
quiet, of course, as they participate in all the fun with a dip in the sea and
jumping across the embers for good luck for the year ahead, our days of ‘Fire
Jumping’ are sadly over! See the pictures above of the new Councilors and then
the burning of the tableau before the firework display.
‘Doggy
World Heaven’ this week is rather quiet with out ‘Scruffy’ but the surprise
news is that he’s back with us on Friday evening for a sleep over ‘Reina’ is
here tomorrow for the day, last night when Lee & Daniela collected her they
were in their new car a ‘Toyota Hybrid’ which to say the least is rather
impressive, its totally automatic and changes from the conventional engine to
electricity when the computer tells it too, its silent so when you set off
there is no sound at all – very weird – it has all the gadgets to play with and
when you buy a new one the Spanish Government give you a massive discount!
The cards
are still coming in slowly, it’s the Spanish postal system,( Germany) so the ‘Birthday
Girl’ is still in the mood, yesterday we had another bottle of ‘Cava’ to keep
up the celebrations for a little while longer; next on the horizon its my ‘Big
One’ on the 24th September when we are planning a week of
celebrations in the style to which we have been come accustomed too down here
on the ‘Costa Del Sol’ Fine Champagne, Fine Dining, Dancing etc! Watch this
space.
Thought for
the Day; See above.
