I was up
first thing this morning to welcome back ‘Reina’ for the day, she’s hiding in
her duvet to get away from the noise of the demolition ‘JCB’ which started
again at 8-00am this morning, it looks like we are in for a lot more disruption
as they dig down for the foundations. Watch this space.
Well the 'JCB' has finished and left! We now have another deep, large trench next to the house so this means that there will be more knocking down by hand over the next few days, see the pictures below.
Later this afternoon just around 'Siesta' time we came under attack from the' Cement' delivery system parked up in 'Calle Ma'r and pumping the cement down 'Calle San Vicente' into the site - see the pictures above! This will happen again many times as the put in the footings!! WE ARE UNDER SIEGE !!

Yesterday
evening ‘Chispa’ came crashing in just before we had our supper, she’s been
totally clipped, ready for the summer, she is a different dog, she has the same
personality but looks different to say the least; later this morning we will
take them both for a walk, the Council have put a small stage up outside the
Town Hall, I asked the Mayor, Diego, what for and he indicated it as for some
sort of celebration for ‘Saint George’s Day’?! Watch this space.
We went for our walks with the two dogs and then settled down for a nice cool drink outside Bar Rojas, the Council presentation is based on Art,Books,Poetry & the local school children reading, as you can see in the pictures above.

At the
moment the sun is attempting to brake through like yesterday, it went very hot
in the afternoon, the forecast for over the weekend and into next week is
settling down and getting hotter as the days go on.
We are
showering and freshening ourselves up and dressing up in the appropriative
outfits (Red) Over here in sunny Manilva and Spain in general its celebrated
more so than in England ‘Feliz del Dia San Jorge’ - especially in the Catalonian Region around
Barcelona, in fact the club badge has the cross of St.George on it! In other
parts of Europe , Roumania & Georgia in
particular, they celebrate the day in grand style, the national flag of Georgia is the Red Cross!
We have now been invited by the Cultural Department & Fernando, the leader of the village Brass Band and head of the Manilva School of Music to 'Concierto Aula De Jazz' this evening which is the 'Centro de Interpretacion Vinas de Manilva' with a 25 piece band & 6 singers from the 'Conservatorio Superior de Malaga' Watch this space for the full report later, the programme looks very extensive!

This
evening for our supper, which we will now have before we go out, we are having the rest of the Chicken Curry with a
little Basmati Rice and some fried Potato Wedges( Iceland) for a change;
tomorrow nights ‘Fish Supper’ has now been agreed “ Poached Cushions of Hake
Fillet” coated in a rich Lobster &
Prawn Bisque with Garden Peas and Saffron New Potatoes.
Thoughts
