A DRY & SUNNY MANILVA ON TUESDAY;

TUESDAY 14^th/APRIL 2015

I was up early this morning as ‘Reina’ was being dropped off first thing, she as usual shot upstairs and ended up in her duvet, we then all had a little lie in. Today it’s dry & sunny with the temperatures going up to 25/27degs by the afternoon; tomorrow sadly we have a severe rain storm coming in off the Atlantic during the night and hitting us all day with high winds then on Thursday its dry and it starts to get warmer over the next few days into the weekend.

Tomorrow morning we will have to up before dawn to go across to the ‘Costa Del Sol’ hospital on the far side of Marbella as Brenda’s appointment with the Eye consultant is at 9-00am! The ‘Junta de Andalusia’ has been promising a new hospital in Estepona for over ten years, no chance at the moment, as the extension to the ‘Costa Del Sol’ had been stopped for over five years and the new hospital over in La Linea has been at a standstill for the same time!

It’s a round trip over 100kms every time we have an appointment. The system, which is under extreme pressure still manages to give an excellent service as the years go on.

After breakfast Brenda shot upstairs to the drying room and caught up with all her ironing, I meanwhile had a nice shave and shower and did my ‘Pilates’ exercises; ‘Chispa’ came calling and is playing around the house, we will go for a walk with both of the dogs a little later.

We called into the local bank in Calle Mar for some cash from the machine and then walked down to 'Bar Las Vinas' for a nice cool drink sat outside in the warm sunshine.

This evening for supper we are having ‘Escalope of Chicken Breast’ pan fried in foaming Lemon Butter with Diamond cut Green Beans and thick-cut slices of Baked Potato dry-sautéed, with a sauceboat of my Tomato salsa on the side.

Last night Liverpool beat Newcastle 2-0 and on Sunday Manchester Utd beat Manchester City 4 -2, City did not play well, in fact they were terrible! Over in Austin, Texas Marc Marquez was back to his best and won the Motor GP race of the ‘Americas’ This evening on TVE 1 it’s the first leg, quarter final of the ‘Champions League’ when Atl.Madrid welcome Real Madrid!
