A NEARLY WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON WEDNESDAY; ( NOW HOT) !

WEDNESDAY 22^nd/ APRIL 2015.

The workmen arrived at 8-00am and commenced to knock down, dig and load the Lorries with the demolition ‘JCB’ as loud as they could, we covered ourselves with the duvet and went back to sleep, we won’t be beaten!

The picture below taken from our roof terrace, later this afternoon show why we are having so much disruption as they are now digging down another level as you can see - cellars possible? 

After a nice lie in we grabbed a quick breakfast and got the day on the go; the sun is just about out and the sky is nearly Blue, the breeze has dropped and as the day goes on it will get better, the forecast into the weekend is fine and we will find out this evening what next week has in store for us!

Brenda is catching up with all her chores, she’s in one of her ‘ing’modes,washing,cleaning,mopping,ironing,etc. meanwhile I got this evenings supper on the go “ Chicken Curry ” with Basmati Rice using my secret recipe with a couple of new editions (Iceland !)

‘Chispa’ has just come calling and we will go for a walk with her a little later; still no luck with all our on-going jobs/maintenances/repairs, he called and checked all the jobs out, took some pictures and we are waiting for him to come back, I’ve called the family solicitor,again and made my thought clear! Watch this space.

See below a picture posted on the ‘Manilva en el Recuerdo’ Facebook page yesterday; is shows ‘Calle Andrades’ many year ago, it’s the street at the bottom of our street, which you can see coming down on the left, the wall on the corner is now two houses with Yolande,Marta’s mother living in one of them; Isobel’s house ( Chispa) is the second door on the right and our friend Araceli’s is further along on the same side! The ‘Cobblestones’ were all over the village and appear in other pictures of the time.The area is known locally as " Barrio Andrades" 

Last night after supper we watched the football as Barcelona won 2-0 – 5-1 on aggregate and later Bayern Munich beat Porto 6-1 – 7-4 on aggregate, they go into the semi-final draw on Friday.

Later we watched “ Iron Man 2 ”from 2010 with Robert Downey Jr. Gwyneth Paltrow as ‘Virginia ‘Pepper’ Potts?! Don Cheadle,Scarlett Johannson,Sam Rockwell,Samuel L Jackson & Mickey Rourke with a strange accent and looking weird! We haven’t seen “Ironman 1” – I don’t think we missed much!!
