A CRISP & SUNNY MANILVA ON SATURDAY.

SATURDAY 24th/ NOVEMBER 2018.

We had a nice lie in this morning, all of us, as little princess ‘ Reina’ spent all night tucked up in her duvet, we put a rug under it and an extra blanket in with her, she was as snug as a bug in a rug! She’s being picked up later, tomorrow evening ‘ Scruffy’ is back with us for a sleep-over and will be collected later on Monday, next Sunday little ‘ Scoobie’ is being dropped off for his week’s holiday, while he’s with us in ‘ Doggy World Heaven’ little prince ‘Paddy’ is joining us for a short five day break!

On Monday evening we have our regular appointments, down at the local Surgery, with the Council Chiropodist, Carmen, then first thing on Tuesday morning Brenda has her ‘ Blood etc’ tests down at the main ‘Medical Centre’ in Sabinillas, later at lunchtime, we are going across to the ‘Costa Del Sol Hospital’ past Marbella, as my appointment at the  ‘ Rehabilitation Department’ for my left-hand problem, finally came though, yesterday afternoon, with a phone call!  Watch this space.

After freshening up this morning, as usual, on a Saturday, we had Brenda’s famous ‘Campo Poached Eggs on Toast ‘ with mugs of steaming tea, to set us up for the day ahead. ( see below)  I then shot up to the office/studio to go on the ‘ WWW’ and then type/post today’s Blog, meanwhile Brenda is pottering about on one of her ‘ ing’ days!

Overnight it stayed dry and very cold, by our standards, this morning the sky has cleared and it’s ‘ crisp’ and sunny, as forecast, reaching 16/17 degs by lunchtime, tomorrow and at the start of next week we could be in for more of the ‘wet-stuff’- as the breeze brings in another ‘ Atlantic’ front, then the rest of the week ahead is looking dry, settled and sunny, getting warmer by next weekend, hovering on the 20 degs+ mark, very good for the time of the year, watch this space.

See below the road out of Everett, Ontario, Canada, yesterday morning!

This evening for our supper we are having a large ‘ Grilled Rib of Beef – on the Bone’ – cooked on a very hot griddle-plate ‘ Med-Rare ‘ – then left to rest, before taking it off the bone and carving it into ‘Finger’ slices ‘ French ‘ style, garnished with seared Asparagus Spears & Button Mushrooms, served with whole ‘ French’ Green Beans and twice-cooked ‘ Frits’ – with the classic ‘ Bearnaise’ sauce and Dijon French Mustard on the side!

On the sports front this weekend; the Football returns, over in the UK in the ‘ Premier League’ as Everton welcome Cardiff City, Liverpool travel down the ‘ M6/M1 to play Watford and at the same time Manchester City will be on the same roads also, going down to play West Ham, over here in ‘ La Liga’ meanwhile, Real Madrid travel to Eibar and Barcelona are in Madrid to play Atletico Madrid.

The last ‘ Grand Prix’ of the season is in Abu Dhabi, with qualifying today. This afternoon we will be watching the ‘ National Hunt Racing’ from Haydock Park & Ascot, then at the ‘ Autumn Internationals’ in Rugby Union, it finishes with Scotland v Argentina, England v Australia, Wales v South Africa & Ireland v United States.

After supper we will channel hop to find something to watch.

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
