We had
another nice lie in this morning as the children have gone back to school after
the half term holidays, the street was very quiet and no noise as for some it’s
a Bank Holiday. The sun was out early and as the morning has progressed it’s
steadily gone warmer and if fact by lunchtime when we went for a walk with
‘Chispa’ it was so hot we could not sit for long in the park – 22/23degs and
rising! The forecast for the week is looking good with no sign of any nasty
changes and the temperatures hovering on the 21/22 degs mark!
Brenda has
the washing out on the roof terrace and is going up this afternoon to sit and
read in the warm sunshine listening to the local radio station!
After our
usual breakfast I shot around to the butchers for ‘Escalope of Chicken Breast’
for tonight’s supper, I’m pan-frying them in foaming Lemon Butter and we are
having dry sautéed thick-cut slices of Baked potato and a ‘Buquetiere’ of
Vegetables; I also bought some diced Beef ready for Wednesday’s pan of
‘Scouse’Tomorrow evening we are having a ‘Soft’ Mixed Grill.
I also made
a batch of my now famous Tomato Salsa as tomorrow morning I’m making a fresh
batch of my in demand ‘Minestrone Soup’
The Blog is
late being published today as Andy called in after my cry for help as I had
memory problems with both of the PCs and my Facebook page was non-responsive,
he has solved all the problems and I’m for the time being back I’m to normal.
We are
going to consider changing the PCs as their shelf life is coming to an end,
after discussing it with Andy we are going to look for a new Desk Top system
with keyboard, mouse, tower and large screen as well as a second add-on screen!
We are going to check out a computer shop in Estepona. as its English run, as
of course we need an English system, there is also a large Mini- Mart in the
Las Palomes shopping mall behind Algerciras also, finally there is a Spanish
computer shop down in Sabinillas to consider, watch this space.!
This week
in ‘Doggy World Heaven’ ‘Reina’ is with us tomorrow and on Thursday ‘Scruffy’
is also here for the day tomorrow and then back on Friday, this means that
tomorrow we could have the three dogs to take for a walk after ‘Chispa’ comes
calling! Watch this space.
Our
shopping is back to normal on Friday and then this Saturday it’s the annual “Carnival
Day” here in sunny Manilva; the street parade with the Brazilian Dancers, Samba
Bands, floats and various drummer‘s & dancers come along Calle Mar in the
early evening – a little bit of ‘Rio’ comes to the village - as we and the
streets are covered in streamers and confetti!
This
evening after supper we will catch up with all the news, sport and weather
details before finding something to watch. See below some ‘Yellow Daffs’ as
yesterdays were not very yellow!
Thoughts
for the Day; See above.
