A OVERCAST AND WINDY SUNNY MANIILVA ON THURSDAY;

THURSDAY 5th/ MARCH 2015.

I was up early this morning as ‘Reina’ was due to be dropped off first thing, the only problem is that the house is now cut off from Calle Mar during the day, from 8-00am as the lorries taking the rubble away fill the street and its dangerous at the same time as the digger deposits the rubbish!

I walked around through the back side streets and met Lee & Daniela outside the Town Hall were I was talking to our very ‘local’ Councilor Mario as it’s his house that is at the other end of the development! I was complaining about the lack of communication etc and yesterday about them not watering down the rubble, this morning they have brought a hose and attached it to the natural well water tap by the side of our house and are damping down the rubble before moving it! That means that we will have no well water, which we use all the time as it’s very clean and safe – and does not cost anything!!See below at the end of the days work!

After breakfast of fresh Orange juice, using some oranges from our neighbors Campo along with toast and tea and not forgetting my ‘Weetabix’ to start, we took the chance and had our showers as we don’t know if we will loose the mains water again!

The electricity and phone cables are stretched across were the digger is working and they have just asked to attach them to the rood terrace on our house to raise them more! We have a cracked tile in the bathroom and they have taken the Green paint off our main window railings in Calle San Vicente – so far!

WE ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUILDING SITE!!  “ HELP”!!

This evening for our supper we are having a left-over’s fry up with fresh vegetables; then tomorrow its fish for Friday and then steak for Saturday and finally on Sunday its our favorite ‘Shank of Lamb in Minted Gravy’

The weather just for today has changed a little as there is a surprise storm that was forecast last night on the news; its coming in from across the Eastern Mediterranean, unusually for this time of the year, the Region is on ‘Orange’ alert for high winds up to 130kms! We are then back to normal and over the ‘Carnival’ weekend its getting warmer, so the ‘Brazilian Samba Dancers’ will not be too cold!!

‘Chispa’ has just come back from our local shop with Brenda and is playing around the house,we have told Isobel not to let her out as its too dangerous at the moment!

Last night after supper we channel hopped and caught the high lights of the second legs of the semi finals of the ‘Cope del Rey’ as Barcelona beat Villarreal 1- 3 – 6-2 on aggregate and play Ath.Bilbao in the final.

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
