We were up
as normal this morning, so no lie in, as we needed to catch the gas bottle
delivery man who was due as next week he won’t be able to get down our street;
the sun is out, the sky is blue and the wind has dropped in time for the
‘Carnival’ parade this evening. The forecast is looking good for the start of
next week as we look forward to yet another week out on the ‘Costa Del Sol ’
On Monday
we are now going to call into Estepona on our way to the hospital past Marbella
for Brenda’s ‘Heart Ultra Sound Scan’ which is now at 2-45pm,we going to our
bank to chase up the re-payment, again, and then to check out the English
computer shop before stopping at the Hypermarket.
After a
breakfast treat this morning of ‘Smoked Back Bacon Butty’s’with a mug of
steaming tea I’m up in the office watching on the smaller PC ‘BBC TV1 Breakfast
News’ before ‘Saturday Kitchen Live’ later; I’m typing the Blog after checking
out the WWW on the larger PC.
Later this
morning I will get ready tonight’s supper which will have after we have been up
to Calle Mar to watch the ‘Carnival’ parade and perhaps join in with the
Brazilian Samba dancers! We are having ‘Steak Diane’ using our slightly
flattened trimmed ‘Entrecote’ steaks, the classic sauce is made with diced Onions,
sliced Mushrooms, French Mustard, Red Wine & Brandy along with double cream
and the secret ingredients, finely sliced Green Beans and twice-cooked ‘Frits’
of course to accompany the classic dish!
At lunchtime we went for a nice walk with 'Chispa' in the warm sunshine and found some nice motor bikes in Calle Mar,on the way back I took a picture of our sun terrace, with the washing out, which is soon to be over shadowed by the new development!! See above.
Later in the afternoon Brian( Liverpool) & Jan called in with 'Charlie'( the Dog)! We had a good catch up with them and we have arranged to have 'Charlie' back with us here in 'Doggy World Heaven' at the end of May for a week and then over Xmas into the New Year for two weeks !! Great news,we are looking forward to having him back as he is a terrific character and very good company and is no problem to look after.A 'Good News Day'

On the
sports front this weekend over in England its the ‘FA Cup’ quarter finals as
Liverpool welcome Blackburn on Sunday, meanwhile over here in ‘La Liga’ Real
Madrid travel to Ath.Bilbao and on Sunday Barcelona welcome Rayo Vallecano.
Last night
after our supper we watched a true story based on real characters called ‘ Lone
Survivor’ from 2013, its about a ‘US Seal’ four man counter-insurgence unit
dropped into Afghanistan to kill a war lord leader, what then happens is given
away in the title! The main part is played by Mark Wahberg, watch it right up to
the end as there is a 4 minute montage & epilogue showing actual pictures
and how and why the last man standing was able to survive!!
PS; Just had an E-Mail from Joyce over in Chester, she is arriving on Monday for two weeks to do some painting in her house up in Alhaurin el Grande; we will try and catch up with her when we get the chance!
