I was up
early this morning to welcome back little princess ‘Reina’ – she’s here for the
day and is being picked up later this evening as Daniela has something on at
work; she shot up to her duvet across the foot of our bed and I followed
shortly and we all had a good old lie in until the workmen woke us a bit later,
surprisingly they have turned up today even thought the forecast is not good.
Speaking of
which, its been raining on and off during the night and the forecast is for
heavy rain during the day which at the moment has not started, no doubt later
as it looks like we are in for a prolonged wet and colder spell over the next
few days at least! The overall temperatures are on the 16/17 degs mark and down
to 11/12 degs at night – please not Mr. Ian Duncan Smith – the Pensions
Minister!
After
breakfast ‘Chispa’came rushing up to our front door as she was out and about as
its still not raining, we then went for a short walk with both the dogs along
Calle Mar, the work on re-surfacing Calle Inglasia is coming along at a pace
and it could possibly be finished in time for the ‘Semana Santa’ week of
celebrations in the first week of April – fingers crossed.
So today is
definitely an at home day taking things easy doing nothing in particular –
great when you can! Tomorrow morning we are going down for our weekly shopping
a little later than normal as we now have an appointment at the solicitors in
their office in Sabinillas at 12-30pm to re- sign the contract on the house for
another 11 months, its only 5 weeks overdue! We have our list ready over all
the overdue repairs and updates needed around the house – for the negotiations!
Watch this space.
For this
evening’s supper we are having a fry-up of the leftovers from our Beef Stew
with Dumplings together with some classic ‘Bubble & Squeak’ with the
Cabbage & Potatoes; no fish supper tomorrow evening as we are going out for
a meal at the ‘Kinnaree Thai’reastaurant in Puerto de la Duquesa after we have put
in an appearance at the inguinal meeting/ launch party for the new “ Compromiso
Manilva” party of the Mayor, Diego and his fellow Councilors, which is taking
place in the Flamenco Restaurant in Sabinillas ‘Meson El Molino’
Last night
after supper we watched the second round of the ‘Champions League’ match
between Barcelona and Manchester City as Barcelona beat City 1-0 – 3-1 on
aggregate as Messi with two ‘Nutmegs’ and the rest of the Barcelona team ran
rings around Manchester City and could have easily have scored five or six goals
except for hitting the woodwork/posts! It was embarrassing to watch if you were
a City supporter as Barcelona totally out played them!!
After
supper we will catch up with all the news, sport and the weekend weather
details before channel hopping to find something to watch.
PS; Don't forget that tomorrow morning there is a partial Eclipse of the Sun,, weather permitting!!
