I was up
before the street lights had gone off this morning as ‘Reina’ was due early, as
normal, she then shot up to her duvet on our bed and disappeared, I came along
later and did the same under ours!
Over night
some rain hit us but we are now looking dry for the rest of the week, the
‘Siberian’ weather storm that is hitting the UK and the rest of Europe has also
caused heavy flooding in Northern Spain as well as 4/6 feet snow drifts in many
parts of the country! Meanwhile down here on the ‘Costa Del Sol’ it’s gone a
little colder,15/16degs but overnight it’s down to 6/7degs!
So today
it’s very crisp with a stiff breeze in sunny Manilva, this is the coldest and
longest cold snap we have had since we came down here many year ago. Please
note Mr. Ian Duncan Smith, the ‘Minister’ responsible for stopping our Winter
Fuel allowance this year!!
After
breakfast I set too and got tonight’s supper on the go “ Chicken Curry ” served
on Basmati Rice, my usual recipe with Baby Mushrooms, Pineapple & Fuji
Apple along with over 11 different curry spices and pastes and my secret
ingredients! It’s cooking slowly at the moment under the watchful eye of the
assistant Chef who is skimming and adjusting to taste.See the picture below of the finished Curry!
During the
morning ‘Chispa’ came crashing in and is running round the house with the wind
in her tail, little princess ‘Reina’ does not want to know! Brenda was upstairs
in the drying room next to the terrace catching up with all the ironing, not
her favorite job! She then came down to watch the curry on the stove!
Last night
after supper we settled down to watch the film but fell asleep on the settee as
it didn’t start until late “ Arbitrage ”from 2012 with Richard Gere,Susan
Sarandon,Tim Roth and Brit Marling; it’s a tense thriller with Gere as the
‘Magnate’ bad guy and Roth as the good guy cop! I’ve just read the full story
and its worth watching!!
Thoughts
fro the Day; See above.
