I was up
early this morning to welcome back little princess ‘Reina’ for the day, she
shot upstairs and dived into her duvet across the foot of our bed, I then
joined her and Brenda under ours for another hours sleep in! After breakfast I
shot along to the bank in Calle Mar to pay our electricity bill (large!) Please note Mr.Ian Duncan Smith!! On
the way back I dropped down to the ‘Casa de Torres’ to see what was going on today,
the foreman let me inside, for the first time, so I was able to take a couple of
pictures of the ruin, there’s a lot of work to be done as you can see in the
picture below.
The weather
today is a little overcast but there is still a blue sky, no breeze but it’s
still crisp, the wet stuff has not hit us at the moment but we could have some
a little later, then the forecast for the rest of the week is fine and even
getting a little warmer.'Chispa' came calling in between the showers and shot back a little later before they came back.
We are
going to have an at home day today so Brenda is upstairs at the moment catching
up with her ironing, meanwhile as you can see I’m in the office on the WWW
catching up with the E-mails,Facebook messages etc.
One piece
of information to go into the Diary today is that the ‘Queen and her Consort’ –
Den & Josie, are arriving for their first official visit in 2015 from ‘Up
North’ in Skelton to see their very loyal subjects down here in Sunny Manilva.
We are
picking them up in the ‘Red Limousine’ from the airport in Gibraltar on Sunday
evening the 29th March, they are making their own way home two weeks
later as they are going on an official visit to their beloved Malaga before
they fly home!
At lunchtime we took 'Reina' for a short walk down to the 'Plaza de la Vendimia' - they have done more work on the 'Roman Pottery Oven' but I still can't find out how they are going to finish it?!

Later I’m
going to get this evening supper ready, we are having ‘Entrecote Steak’ cooked
on the hot griddle plate ‘Med- Rare’ garnished with sautéed Baby Mushrooms
& Shallots, finely sliced Green Beans and as a special treat, as it’s
‘National Chip Week’ – “Pont Neuf” chips – thick-cut and twice cooked in Virgin
Olive Oil then stacked in the traditional manner – see the pictures later! I’m
serving Brenda’s steak with deep fried Garlic Buds and mine topped with a Campo
Fried Egg and of course a sauceboat of the classic Béarnaise sauce on the side! See below the classic 'Pont Neuf' - 'Stack'!
And for our dessert it will be not Pancakes for' Shrove Tuesday' but the classic 'Crepes a la Sexton' See below my 'Crepes au Citron' with Vanilla Ice Cream;

watching some ‘Champions League’ football – PSG v Chelsea .
Thoughts
for the Day; See above.
