A VERY WARM $ SUNNY MANILVA ON THURSDAY;

THURSDAY 14^th / APRIL 2016.

After seeing ‘ Reina’ back with us for the day we all as usual shot back to bed for a little lie in, we then had breakfast and sorted ourselves out for the day ahead. I brought the washing in and then shot down to our local shop at the bottom of our street for some fresh vegetables & fruit, I’m out in the morning for our weekly shopping down in Sabinillas after ‘Reina’ is dropped off, on Saturday ‘ Scruffy is with us in the afternoon for a few hours, meanwhile ‘ Chispa’ should now be able to be out to play, watch this space.

This morning its the nicest day, so far this year, the sun was out early and the sky is bright blue, there is no breeze and by lunchtime its going to reach 25 degs! The weekend is looking settled and next week we could be in for more of the same.

We have just come off the ‘ Skype’ video after speaking to Jack & Lyn over in Melbourne, they are both very well and have a large birthday party this coming weekend for ‘Deb’s’ 60^th! Love to all the family xxxx

At lunchtime we went out for a light 'Tapas' lunch up at ' Bar Castillo' in Calle Mar' - for the first time in over two months, Juan looked after us, we had a 'Marinated Chicken Skewer' with 'Frits' and fresh Bread,all the locals came along and asked Brenda how she was! She walked very slowly in her 'Trainers' that fit her feet just right,watch this space.

Last night we went out for dinner, as you can see below, ‘Puerto de la Duquesa’ was at its best as the red sky dusk showed the marina at its best, as usual the “ Kinnaree Thai Restaurante “ gave us a nice welcome and a front seat table! After ordering some drinks and a half bottle of ‘ Vina Sol’ for Brenda we chose some starters, ‘Steam Prawn ‘ Dim – Sum’ ‘Thai Vegetable Spring Rolls’& ‘ Thai Mini Fish Cakes’ Brenda then had  for her main course a very nice ‘ Crispy Roasted Duck’ with a sweet Chilli sauce  with  ‘ Thai Noodles with Vegetables’ and I had the ‘ ‘Massamen Beef Curry’*** ( Very Hot!) with ‘ Thai Fried Rice with Prawns’ With the coffee Brenda had a brandy, on the house and I had a nice chilled ‘Lemoncello’ also on the house!

For our supper this evening we are having ‘ Grilled Chicken Wings’ with a Baked Potato and a little Mixed Salad, tomorrow night is ‘ Fish Night’ and then on Saturday its ‘ Steak Night’ before on Sunday when we are having ‘ Medallions of Pork Fillet’ After supper we will settle down to watch the next episode of ‘ Line of Duty’ – watch this space.
