A OVERCAST & GREY SUNNY MANILVA ON SUNDAY.

SUNDAY 10th / APRIL 2016.

We managed another nice long lie in this morning as the village is very quiet, after breakfast we then got our Sunday ‘Roast’ on the go; “ Roast Loin of Pork “ with a savoury Mixed Herb stuffing, the Loin of Pork is rubbed in Sea Salt & Lemon Juice, its then goes in the oven on a bed of ‘Trivets’ which are used later to make the ‘finger licking’ Pan Gravy! The ‘Chef Entremetier – Vegetable Chef ‘ is back on duty after her eight week ‘Sabatical – Illness ‘ so we are having Cabbage with Alselgas, Broccoli & Cauliflower Florets in a three Cheese sauce, glazed Baby Carrot Batons and Garden Peas along with, of course, ’Goose Fat Roast Potatoes’!

This morning its grey & cloudy with a overcast sky on the horizon, there is no breeze so its still mild but no sign, at the moment, of the sun; we will catch up with the forecast for the week ahead later, watch this space.See the picture below of the sunrise over Liverpool this morning!

Next week ‘ Reina’ is back with us for five days from Monday to Friday, on Wednesday evening we are planning to go out for dinner as its the ‘ Chef’s’ first night off in many weeks and he is being treated to a visit to the Restaurant of his choice, watch this space! On Friday I will be out on my travels for the weekly shopping, with Brenda, if she is feeling ready for it?!

Yesterday in the football Everton had another poor drew 1-1 at Watford and Manchester City were lucky to beat West Brom 2-1. Over here it was not a good day for Barcelona who lost at Real Sociedad 1-0 as Real Madrid won 4-0 and Atl.Madrid also won, this means that they are only 3/4 points ahead of them both in ‘ la Liga’ with still six games to go! At Aintree the ‘ Grand National’ was won by “ Rule the World “ ridden by the 19 years old David Mullins.

After supper we watched the final of ‘ The Voice’ on BBC TV, next year its on ITV with new judges, we then found a late film to watch back on Spanish TV.
