A OVERCAST & MILD SUNNY MANILVA ON TUESDAY;

TUESDAY 12^th / APRIL 2016.

I was up early again this morning to see ‘ Reina’ back with us for the day, we then all went back to bed for a nice lie in, after breakfast I shot along to the Chemists in ‘Calle Mar’ for some tablets for Brenda and then called, on the way back, into our local shop for some fresh vegetables & goodies.

Its still a little overcast & cloudy here in sunny Manilva but there is no breeze so its very mild, the threat of rain is still in the air, its the tail end of an Atlantic storm that is heading up and across to the UK! Then from tomorrow onwards its going to be fine and sunny and getting warmer over the weekend, 23/25 degs down here on the ‘ Costa Del Sol’ and further up the coast its due to reach 27 degs! Our Swedish friend Lillemor called in for a chat so we had a good catch up along with a nice cup of coffee and some local ' Lemon Magdelenas' that I bought before.

So for tonight’s supper we are having a large ‘ Entrecote’ Steak cooked on a very hot griddle plate ‘ Med-Rare’ and then left to rest before slicing it ‘ French Style’- we are having whole Green Beans and proper ‘ Chips’ along with a savoury ‘ Hollandaise’ sauce on the side; tomorrow night we are going out for dinner, the first time this year, its the ‘ Chefs’ night off after his long stint in the kitchen over the last two months! We are going down to ‘ Duquesa Marina’ to the “ Kinnaree Thai Restaurant’ Watch this space.

Brenda is slowly , each day, starting to walk a little more, with out the aid of the crutches, she had a shower this morning and is going to catch up with some ironing later, she is also back on vegetable ‘preparation’ duties! We are planning to go out for a light ‘Tapas’ lunch on Sunday, weather permitting, up and along to ‘Bar Castillo’ Watch this space.

We are now back into the routine of our ‘Happy Hour’ in the lounge, the ‘Roof Patio in the Sky’ is not ready yet, I’m having problems sourcing the hanging wall pots as I want some bright colours ie, Red & Yellow etc! I’m also going to have a ‘Mosaic’ Tiled edging – watch this space!!

Last evening/night we had a ‘Quiz Night’ as we watched ‘ Fifteen To One, Countdown, Pointless, Eggheads and the semi-final of University Challenge’ ( I even managed to understand one of the questions and get it right!) We than followed some documentaries and a late film.
