I was up early once again this morning to
welcome back little princess ‘ Reina’ for the day, she arrives at 8-00 am and
is collected at 6-00 pm, we all went back to bed and had a nice lie in, for
breakfast this morning we had toasted ‘Smoked Bacon Butties’ with mugs of steaming
tea, ‘Reina’ disappears into her duvet up in the office, she comes down for her
lunch and then joins us later in the afternoon on the settee to watch the TV!
Yesterday the rain did not arrive, as forecast,
and by the afternoon it was warm and sunny, overnight its now 12/13 degs and in
the daytime we are hovering on the 22 degs mark for now, its getting warmer in
the next few days and there is no sign of any of the wet stuff, some parts of
Spain further up the coast are reaching 26/27 degs! At the moment its starting
to clear after a cloudy/overcast start, the sun is breaking through and there is
a little breeze, excellent drying weather!
The pictures below shows a view from the
top of the ‘ Radio City Tower’ this morning with just the two cathedrals above
the clouds, the other picture, meanwhile was taken down in the city at the same
time as the sun was coming through as the ‘ Fab Four’ took a walk!
We are taking things easy today, Brenda is
just doing a little ironing and I’ve just put out the drying out of the last wash,
up on the roof patio, we will freshen up this evening before going out for
dinner, I will collect Brenda from the house and then go down to ‘Duquesa
Marina’ and drop her off at the nearest spot so that she has only a short walk
to the ‘ Kinnaree Thai Restaurant’ See above.
At the moment the ‘ Euro’ is slowly
climbing back up, but its still well down overall, our next round of monthly
Pensions are due to arrive in our Spanish Bank Account from next week and its
looks like we will be down by over 120 Euros per month! There is no sign of it
improving, at the moment, its all due to the various financial crisis’s and the
forthcoming referendum over in the UK about leaving the European Community?!
Our friend over in North Wales took the
picture of the Bay of Llandudno from the top of the ‘ Little Orme ’ and the
other picture show an unusual view of the two ‘Runcorn Bridges’- the new bridge
is a small version of the famous ‘Sydney Harbour Bridge’- as you can see!
Last night after supper we channel hopped
and watched the end of the ‘ Champions League – Quarter Finals – 2nd
Legs’ as Real Madrid beat VFL Wolfsburg 3-0 ( Agg 3-2) with a Ronaldo hat trick
and Manchester City won 1-0 ( Agg 3-2) against Paris St,G! Its ‘ City’s’ first
time at reaching the Semi-Finals!
Thought for the Day; See above.
