“MAUNDY “THURSDAY
17th/ APRIL 2014.
This
morning has started overcast with a sea mist up in sunny Manilva but is now
clearing and the sun is coming out; after a quick breakfast we shot down to
Sabinillas to do the shopping as the supermarket is open until noon today but
closed tomorrow as it’s a bank holiday.
We have just had with our morning 'cuppa'with some rather nice toasted 'Hot X-Buns' which Brenda spotted as we were doing our 'English' shopping in 'Super Sol!'

We have no
plans for today, so far, the dog has just come charging in early so we will go
for a walk a little later; in the ‘Plaza de la Vendimia’ they are starting to
erect a children’s fairground ready for the bank holiday weekend.
As you can see in the pictures above the name sign has gone up in the new passage way, in the church they are decorating tonight's 'Tronos- Tableau' with flowers, the cemetery is covered in fresh flowers and in the 'Plaza Vendimia' the children's fairgound is setting up.

We are
waiting to hear from Doreen & Claus to arrange to ‘hook up’ over the
weekend and tomorrow morning Rose is dropping ‘Scruffy’ off for his Easter
Weekend holiday with us.
At lunchtime over in Malaga is was the 'Semana Santa' parade at lunchtime when the 'Spanish Foreign Legion'- 'Mano's old regiment' arrive in the harbour by ship from Africa and then with their chins held at a 45 degrees angle march the statue of 'Jesus on the Cross' at the same time singing religious songs - very moving - see the pictures above taken from the TV.

This
evening’s supper is not very exciting under the new regime – ‘Omelets’ – Cheese
for Brenda and Ham & Mushroom for me – that’s it! See mine above:
Later in
the evening there is a mass in the ‘Santa Ana ’ church followed by a procession
that does not start until 11-00pm of the ‘Padre Jesus Nazareno’ through the
village.See the pictures above as the procession made its way ant-clock-wise around the village;mi assistant 'Camera Person;' - " Den " was also out on the job so some more pictures tomorrow from his super-camera !
Thoughts
for the Day; See above.
