DRY AND SUNNY MANILVA AT THE MOMENT ON THURSDAY;

THURSDAY 3rd/ APRIL 2014.

A little lie in was called for this morning after a very nice evening with Gillian catching up with all her news and our local gossip! Gillian had asked if there was anything we needed from back in England before she left so I asked if she could bring us some ‘Gravy Browning’ as all our sources over here had dried up - literally! In the end she went to her local ‘Waitrose’ and they looked up on their PC and found some, so she has brought me two bottles of ‘Cross & Blackwell Gravy Browning!!’ Result!

Over night we had more heavy rain but at the moment it’s dry and sun, yesterday we managed to miss most of the bad stuff here in sunny Manilva, the rest of Andalucia was badly hit with floods and damage! Then the forecast for over the weekend and into next week is looking extremely good. Josie and Den are now in Madrid nearing the end of their train adventure so hopefully we will see then sometime this weekend – have a good safe journey down to sunny Manilva!

We went for a short walk with the dog but just as we started it started to rain heavy so we had to dash back rather quickly as we had no umbrella's with us !

Last night in the football in the ‘UEFA Champions League – Quarter Finals’ first leg matches Real Madrid beat Borussia Dortmund 3-0 and Paris St Germain beat Chelsea 3-1; this afternoon I will try and find some coverage on the large PC from the first day’s racing at Aintree from the ‘Grand National’ meeting.I've managed to get the 'Channel 4' coverage via 'Wiziwig' with some very gripping racing on the first day including the " Fox Hunters Chase " over the Grand National fence's for the amateur riders!

This evening for supper we are having a nice simple but delicious meal; ‘Calves Liver’- thinly sliced and dusted with flour then seared on the griddle with crispy Smoked Bacon and fried sliced onions rings, some nice dry-sautéed thick-cut sliced Baked Potato and diamond cut Green Beans.

Later we will find something to watch by channel hopping after catching the news on TVE1.

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
