THURSDAY 24th/APRIL
2014.
Today we
are having a nice easy/quiet day at home taking things as they come so as
Brenda can get herself back on the road to recovery, her nasty chest cough is a
little better but she is still not back to her old 100% working self!
Over in Melbourne its Jack’s birthday so we would
like to wish him a very “Happy Birthday” – have a ‘Good’on!’ Love to him, Lyn
and all their families all over Australia – here’s to many more!
Later this
morning we will go for a short walk with the dog just to stretch the old legs;
no cooking is necessary today as we are having the rest of the ‘Chicken
Chasseur’ from last night, this evening with Basmati Rice and Garden Peas.
I’ am just
about to start printing some off the pictures from the ‘Semana Santa’ week on
glossy photo paper to give to the various locals taking part in the ceremonies
including the Mayor, Antonia and the Chief of Police ,Paco as well as our
neighbors and friends. All very well received, the Mayor took me into her office as did Paco the Chief of Police,I took some requests for more prints for other family members, typically as in Manilva everybody is related!
So this
afternoon we will catch up with the reading, we have tickets for the classical
music concert this evening in the ‘Wine Centre Theater’ so we will have supper
a little earlier than usual and then pop down to take in for a change some
cultural/classic music instead of ‘Blues/Rock’! See the pictures above, the close-up ones are thanks to Antonia, the Mayor who was sat at the front!
Last night
we watch the second series of the Spanish ‘Master Chef’ – it’s a little
different to the English one to say the least, but for once the judges
eliminated the right one! Tonight its Spanish ‘Soap’ night.
Thoughts
for the Day; See above.
