OVERCAST BUT DRY IN SUNNY MANILVA ON SUNDAY;

SUNDAY 2^nd/ MARCH 2014.

We had a little lie in this morning as the sun was not as forecast crashing through the shutters! After breakfast Brenda went to shower and wash her hair and I stayed in the kitchen to get tonight supper on the go; I trimmed and cut the Pork Fillet into Medallions and slices – tonight we are having the Medallions cooked on the griddle with Carrot batons and Baby Turnips in Ginger, Diamond cut Green Beans and ‘Breton’ style potatoes, I cooked off this morning the ingredients for the potatoes, diced Onions, Red & Green Peppers and then tonight I toss them in foaming butter with the diced cooked potatoes that Brenda gets ready! I also made my now famous ‘Charcutiere’ sauce to finish off tonight’s meal. The sliced Pork Fillet is for tomorrows night’s supper when I will make ‘Pork Schnitzels’with Spaghetti Milanaise!

The dog came crashing in later in morning and she is now playing around my feet as I’ am typing the Blog; we are debating whether to go for a short walk as its sill overcast but dry and not very inviting; at lunchtime for a change we are treating ourselves to Scrambled Eggs with Smoked Salmon.

Over in Australia the ‘Gang of Four’ have reached the center of the country and are besides and are probably in the hotel pool in Alice Springs! - ‘Ayers Rock – “Uluru” ’ lies 335 kms south-west of Alice Springs and will no doubt be next on their adventure!! Watch this space.

This afternoon I will watch the ‘Capital One Cup Final’ from Wembley when Manchester City play Sunderland and the later watch the highlights on the ‘TDP’sports channel of the Athetico Madrid v Real Madrid game and later the Barcelona v Almeira match.

City have just won 3-1 after playing terrible in the first half and going down 0-1 but in the second half they scored three wonder goals!!!Meanwhile over here it was 2-2 in the Madrid 'Kicking'game - Barcelona won 4-1 and are now back to second in'La Liga' 

Last night we found a good film to watch “ Rendition” from 2007 – an abduction thriller about the true story of the controversial ‘CIA’practice of ‘Extraordinary Rendition’ with Jake Gyllenhaal,Reese Witherspoon,Omar Metwally,Meryl Streep and Alan Arkin along with a strong cast – watch it to find out what happens!
