WARM AND SUNNY MANILVA ON THURSDAY;

THURSDAY 6th/ MARCH 2014.

The forecast for today and over the weekend into next week is settled with warm sunshine and clear blue skies and only a little or no breeze! We have a nice quiet day today as tonight’s supper in nearly ready, only the ‘Dumplings ‘to make this evening and we are up to date with all the chores around the house; I’ am also up to date on the WWW and typing the Blog early! The dog has also come crashing in earlier than normal and is full of the joys of spring, she is playing around my feet and causing havoc as she charges around the floors and skids on the rugs as she does flying leaps in the air! We are then going for a long walk around the village to stretch our legs!

As you can see above in the pictures they have been trimming and cutting the Palm Trees along Call Mar with a specialist tree surgeon!

Over in Australia the folks are packing and are on the last part of their adventure as they fly down to Sydney later this afternoon; they have enjoyed Cairns and are now looking forward to seeing the sights and sounds of Sydney including climbing to the top of the famous ‘Sydney Harbour Bridge’ Let’s hope that the very severe thunderstorms that hit Sydney yesterday have cleared by then – on last nights Spanish TV news they showed the black clouds as they rolled over the city and the newspaper pictures of the storm were spectacular!

Last night we watched the ‘International Friendly’ Football as Spain beat Italy 1-0, England also won against Denmark 1-0 but did not play well; later we caught a good film “Twilight” from 1998 – it’s a neo-noir thriller starring Paul Newman, Susan Saradon, Gene Hackman, James Garner, Stockard Channing and a young Reese Witherspoon.

Thought for the Day; See above.
