WARM AND SUNNY MANILVA AT THE START OF THE WEEKEND;

FRIDAY 7th/ MARCH 2014.

This morning after breakfast we shot down to Sabinillas for the weekend shopping; the breeze has picked up a little but it’s still bright and sunny as we first called into the supermarket, then the bank, the newspaper shop, and quick call back to the new charity shop so as Brenda could exchange one of the tops she picked the other day – she came out with two!

We also had a good result at the solicitor's office as we re-signed the house contract and they are going to see to the damp bedroom problem and a bit later in the year the outside of the house is going to be painted !!

After un-packing I shot around to the butchers for our Saturday night ‘Steak a La Plancha’ – we then went down to the new fruit & Vegetables shop for some extra essentials ie.’Fresh Asparagus’! This evening as its Friday ‘Fish Night’ we are having ‘Hake Fillets Bonne Femme’ with turned New potatoes and Garden Peas – the Mushrooms for the sauce are local; our butcher has not had a delivery of his local Lamb until next week so we are going to have to wait so on Sunday we are now going to have ‘Flattened Turkey Breast’ with savory rice.

Over the weekend it’s a busy sports programme with ‘FA Cup Football’ over in England and on Sunday England play Wales in the ‘Six Nations Rugby’ – here it’s the ‘La Liga’ – All the details tomorrow.

PS; The 'Gang of Four' have successfully climbed the 'Sydney Harbour Bridge' and later in downtown Sydney bumped into Jeremy Clarkson and James May!

Last night we channel hopped and finally watched some of the ‘La Voz – The Voice’ – the children’s edition – which is very moving and at the same time heartbreaking! Tonight is film night after supper so we will find a good film to follow.

Thoughts for the Day; See Above.
