FLAMENCO NIGHT.

The cultural department of the council put on different concerts at this time of the year that are organized by Fernando the Director of the School of Music; they take place on the terrace overlooking the valley, down to the sea, and this evening’s was Flamenco singing and dance. On a balmy night after a very hot day down her on the Costa del Sol the locals gather, for free, and watch the show which starts at 10-30pm; soon they get into the music and clap and join in to the songs, when the dancer starts the clapping gets louder and the audience shout “Ole ”and the atmosphere builds up. The pictures below show the group “ Buleriologos ” performing in front of a very appreciably crowd. Over the next few weeks there are more concerts and in three weeks time it is the Brass Band Competition when bands from other village’s come and perform, two years ago Manilva won!
