MANILVA BAR ROJAS NIGHT SHIFT AND A LOAD OF RUBBISH.

WEDNESDAY 14TH JULY 2010.

This evening after supper we went for a nightcap up to Bar Rojas just as the night shift started on phase two! We sat across the road and supervised as they put the roof,grass matting on the second part of the project; this meant that Manolo had to disconnect the street lights and fix the roof around the lamp post! The pictures below show the work in progress.

As we took in the cool night air on a balmy night, sat talking to Lumy, the bin wagon came along to empty the hidden rubbish! They clear the rubbish, every night, at around 12-30am and so I was able to take some pictures of the process as you can see above; the waste bins are below ground level and you empty your rubbish into the silver waste shutes, the rubbish is collected in large bins and the bin men then use a hydraulic hose to bring the waste bins up and empty them into the bin wagon! Simple but very efficient and clean, with no smell! What a load of rubbish !!!

Thought for the Day;

We will be known forever by the tracks we leave.
