We overslept this morning as I had the
shutters fully down, as it was forecast for heavy rain storms overnight, but it
turned out to be only light showers, after freshening up we had a quick toast
& tea, before catching up with the day ahead.
I first ‘masked/gloved’ up and shot along ‘Calle
Mar’ to the local Bank, to get some cash from the machine, when I returned
Brenda was also ‘ masked/gloved’ up and went up to the ‘Bakery Shop’ for
breadcrumbs etc, on the way back calling into the local ‘Chemists’ for our regular
prescription tablets, the ‘ Council’ Cleaning Department are out in force, as the rain has stopped, spraying
down all the houses, doors, windows etc with sanitising/disinfectant.
At the moment it’s dry & sunny, with a
slight breeze, there are rain clouds in the blue/grey sky, so the ‘Wet-Stuff’
will return later, as there are parts of the region on ‘ Yellow’ alert, but it
looks like we are going to be lucky and miss most of it, it’s forecast to only
reach 18/19 degs+ by this afternoon, overnight down to 13 degs+`- the rest of
the week and over the coming weekend is now looking like we are in for more of
the same, wet, cloudy and windy, but still hovering in the low 20s.
See below Sabinillas beach front this
morning.
Next week it’s now forecast to be going
back to normal, for the time of the year, staying dry, warm and very sunny,
back up to 24/25 degs+ by next Tuesday, overnight only down to 16/17 degs, with
lots of warm sunshine, watch this space.
Meanwhile over in Everett, Ontario, Canada,
it’s “ Nurses Week “ – see below a picture of a very young Sandra ( 20! ) in
her nurses uniform, as she was in her first job at the ‘The Royal Hallamshire
Hospital ‘ in Sheffield, just before she left for Canada!
PS; It’s also ‘ International Nurse Day ‘ !
“ CORANAVIRUS UPDATE – COVID 19 PANDEMIC “
The ‘ National Government ‘ up in Madrid,
announced yesterday afternoon that Spain is to introduce a 14 day self-quarantine
period for all international travellers, starting this coming Friday, and it
will last for the duration of the alarm,
following in the footsteps of many other European countries.
This evening for our supper we are having ‘
Pie N’ Chips’ – a ‘ frozen’ extravaganza!
the ‘ Wrights Steak and Kidney Pies’ are from ‘Super Sol’ as are the excellent ‘ Frits’ and Garden Peas,
the Pies are warmed in the Mico-Wave and the ‘Frits’ are dropped in very hot
Vegetable Oil to crisp-off, served in mini-baskets the Pies will be placed on a pool of Pan Gravy ,not
forgetting the bottle of ‘ HP ‘Brown sauce on the side!
As usual we will be channel hopping all day
and this evening catching up with all the ‘ Quiz Shows’ that we follow as well
the ‘Food/Chef’ programmes and series, later finding a good film to watch.
As usual as I’m typing/posting today’s Blog
I have been listening to the ‘Lockdown Part’ show on ‘ Castle Radio FM 89.2
& Online on the WWW’ – the ‘ Mystery Voice’ was easy today, it was the very
distinctive voice of ‘Eartha Kitt’ – at the
moment I have the ‘ Country Classic’ Show on with David Sibbald – playing it ‘LOUD’!
“ STAY SAFE
AND WELL INSIDE AT ALL TIMES “
