A RATHER WET AND COOLER SUNNY MANILVA ON SUNDAY.

SUNDAY 10^th/MAY 2020.   “ STATE OF ALARM – DAY 57 “ 

“ MOTHER’S DAY – THE WORLD “

No lie in for the wicked this morning, so after freshening up we had a quick toast and tea before preparing this evenings ‘Roast’ supper; a small  ‘ Roast Leg of Spanish Lamb ’ – studded with Garlic cloves & Rosemary, seasoned with Sea Salt and Lemon juice, with a few ‘Roast Potatoes’ cooked in the roasting juices, for a change, as we are also having some ‘ Pommes de Terre Rissolee’ The ‘ Second/Vegetable Chef’ has prepared Broccoli & Cauliflower Florets in a three Cheese sauce, Crushed Baby Carrots & Turnips, Creamed Baby Leeks and Garden Peas, accompanied with my famous ‘ finger-licking’ Pan Gravy and lots of Mint sauce!

Overnight the ‘ Wet-Stuff’ arrived, but this morning, at the moment, it’s dry & sunny, with a few patchy clouds, there is stiff breeze and more rain in the air, to come later, it’s now raining heavy, still hovering in the low 20s  - overnight down to 14 degs+  all of next week is now looking very unseasonal, with rain all week, patchy clouds all the time, with a light breeze on most days, but still the overall temperatures are going to be in the high ‘ teens’ – low 20s, by next Sunday it’s back to what is should be, warm & sunny, with lots of sunshine, going up to the mid 20s+ by mid-week, watch this space.

All quiet today with no updates to report, so far, as the ‘Spanish Government’ have been asked by the ‘ Junta de Andalucia’ to re-consider the continuing of the ‘ Phase 0’  “ LOCKDOWN “ - as we enter ‘Week 9’ – down here on the ‘Costa Del Sol’ and up in sunny (wet) Manilva, under the most severe rules in Europe!  Watch this space.

Last night after supper we caught the late film on ITV, it was “ Gangster Squad “ from 2013, the plot is a fictionalized account, set in 1949, of the ‘LAPD’ Detectives, who attempt to keep Los Angeles safe from ‘ Mickey Cohen ( Sean Penn) as the ruthless sadist and his gang. Starring Josh Brolin, Ryan Gosling, Nick Nolte, Anthony Mackie, Giovanni Ribsi, Robert Patrick, Michael Peña and the very watchable Emma Stone, as the ‘Gangsters Moll’!
