As usual on a Friday morning, it was the
sound of the goods delivery men sliding down the wood pallets to our local shop
that woke us up! After freshening up we had our normal fresh fruit (Sliced
Banana) toast and tea, to set us up for the weekend ahead.
We were listening to the ‘ Lockdown Part’
show on ‘ Castle Radio FM 89.2 & Online on the WWW’ as this morning’s ‘Mystery
Voice’ quiz came on, I got it at the third attempt, after Brenda offered her
help, it was ‘ Charlie Dimmock’ – the gardener, yesterday it was easy, it was ‘Rio
Ferdinand’ - the footballer!
We are in for another very hot & sunny
day, the sun was out first thing, with a spectacular sunrise, the sky is clear,
blue and cloudless, there is just a very slight breeze, so by lunchtime it’s
due to reach, again, 27/28 degs+ -overnight only down to 18/19degs+ - on
Saturday/Sunday going a little cooler and ‘ Fresh’ – as the breeze picks up a
little, next week is going to be very warm & sunny, with lots of sunshine,
with just a few patchy clouds at times, with light breezes, hovering in the mid
20s+ all week and over next weekend, watch this space.
Our very dear friend, Leah, picked up
little ‘ Miss Bella’ yesterday afternoon, so we went up to ‘Bar Rojas Sol Vida’
for a nice cool drink, sat under the large umbrella in the very hot sunshine,
our last chance for a while, as Leah makes her final move across to Gibraltar
tomorrow morning, with her son Deemy and ‘ Bella’! We are going to miss them
all terribly and wish them all the very best in their new life – “ Thanks ”
She has just picked up our shopping list
this morning, on her way down to Sabinillas to go to ‘Mercadona & Supper
Sol’ – for the last time, another big “ Thanks
“
All quiet, here in a very sunny Manilva,
today, in ‘Lockdown’ on Day 69, of Week 9 – as we are in ‘Phase 1 ‘ – wearing our
‘ Masks’ – as we have been all the time, when out & about for our
shopping/medicines, as well as in our ‘Pensioner’ time slots!
The ‘Council’ of course continues with it’s
regular programme of washing down, sanitising and humidifying all the streets,
as well as our door steps, windows etc.
“
STAY SAFE AND SOUND INSIDE AT ALL TIMES “
For our supper this evening we are having ‘
Goujons of Hake Fillet ‘ - coated in a “
Tempura ‘Cruzcampo’ Beer Batter “ -
shallow-fried in Vegetable Oil, until crisp & golden – accompanied with
lots of Lemon Wedges and Homemade ( Brenda’s) ‘Tartar’ sauce, served with our
last tin, again, of ‘ Batchelors Mushy Peas ‘ – along with, of course,
triple-cooked ‘ Chips’
We will be as usual channel hopping to find
something to watch on ‘ IPTV’ system, this evening and over the weekend.
Thoughts for the Day; See above.
