After freshening up we had a quick toast
& tea, before getting ‘ Day 60 ‘ in ‘ LOCKDOWN’ – here in sunny Manilva, on
the go!
Yesterday evening on our ‘ Walking Slot’ (
7 00 pm – 8 00 pm ) as it was so nice ( dry & sunny ) - we decided to call
at the new Supermarket ‘ Suma’ to stock up a little, Brenda went in and first
saw our neighbours, then Mano shopping, while Anna stayed outside and finally
our friend Andy came along, he came back to our house and had a couple of
beers, stood outside in the street, as we caught up with all his news.
As I said we had a dry and sunny day, yesterday,
as the breeze dropped and the sky cleared, this morning it’s glorious, with a
beautiful calm & fresh start, the sun is out and the sky is cloudless and
bright blue, despite on all the forecasts (3) showing there is more rain to
come later, as well as the rest of the week, still hovering in the high ‘ teens’
– low 20s – overnight 14/15 degs! From Sunday the sun is due to return to sunny
Manilva, next week it’s going to be warm, with lots of sunshine, back up to 24/25
degs by mid-week, if not a little higher, watch this space.
For our supper this evening we are having ‘
Chicken N ‘ Chips’ – actually, bought locally ‘ Spanish Chicken Fillets – Empanados
’ – coated in savoury Garlic flavoured Breadcrumbs – shallow fried in Vegetable
Oil and coated with foaming Lemon Butter, served with whole Baby ‘ French’
Green Beans and triple-cooked ‘ Chips’ – mine topped with a ‘ Campo’ Fried Egg!
This morning on ‘ Facebook’ is showed an
old memory picture, which I then re-posted on our page, it shows “ The Hotel
Seventy Degrees “ in Colwyn Bay, North Wales, with us, our Assistant Manager,
Kelvin, whose 60th birthday is today, with all the Restaurant
staff/team, including six Portuguese waiters and the ‘ Ladies’ – taken before a
large Banquet in the ‘ Horizon Suite Restaurant’ – in front of the very special
sunken glass dance floor, which I designed and had made!

“ CORANAVIRUS UPDTAE – COVID 19 PANDEMIC “
All very quiet today except to say that
everybody we speak to, hear and over in the UK – says how important it is to
continue as long as needed to;
‘ STAY INSIDE & SAFE AND WELL ALL THE TIME “
Thoughts for the Day; See above.
