I was up early this morning and after a
quick freshen up I shot off across to the ‘Estepona Hospital’ to go to the ‘Physiotherapy
Department’ for my first, of four, appointments this week for more extensive
treatment on my left hand.
I was very lucky and found the nearest
parking spot to the Hospital free, I then had my usual tostado & tea in ‘
Tikitapi’ before crossing to the Hospital. Encarni the ‘Head Physio’ is looking after me, it was
very busy and she had a new assistant Maria helping.
This morning it’s grey & overcast with
lots of black storm clouds over the
mountains, there is a light breeze and by the time I reached Estepona it was
raining a little, making the roads very slippery & dangerous, as they have
not had any of the ‘ wet-stuff’ in over six months! By lunchtime it’s due to
reach 19 degs, down to 12 degs over night, the rest of the week and over the
weekend is looking mainly the same, over the next couple of days it could get
warmer & sunny when the breeze drops, up to 22/23 degs on one forecast,
then as another ‘Atlantic’ front comes in it’s back down to 13/14 degs with the
‘ wet-stuff’ returning, as the breeze increases, next week is looking like we
are in for a prolonged ‘Wet-Spell ‘ – cold and with patchy clouds, watch this
space.
In ‘ Doggy World Heaven’ this week ‘
Scruffy ‘ is back with us tomorrow evening for a sleep-over, then on Thursday
for another, then next Monday as well, Adrian has appointments at three
different Hospital departments, ‘ Cardiologist, Traumatology & Radiotherapy
‘! ‘Chispa’ has been in & out all over the weekend, it’s getting near when
she goes into ‘Lock-Down’ to keep her away from any unwanted attention!
Just a quick update on yesterday sports
results; Lewis Hamilton won the ‘Bahrain Grand Prix’ after the ‘ Ferrari’ of
the new ‘French Wonder Kid ‘ – Charles Leclerc lost power on the final few
laps, it would have been his first ‘Grand Prix’ win! Liverpool went back to the
top of the ‘ Premiere League’ after winning 2-1, Real Madrid had a lucky win
3-2, at home, to the bottom team in ‘La Liga’!
For our supper this evening we are having
carved ‘ Cold Roast Beef ‘ with a selection of Vegetables and the rest of the ‘
Goose-Fat Roast Potatoes, on Tuesday it’s going to ‘ Escalope’s of Chicken
Breast – ‘ Schnitzels’ style, then on Wednesday we are having a Casserole of ‘
Braised Sliced Beef’ in a rich ‘ Red Wine, Mushroom & Onion Salsa’ with
Brenda’s famous ‘ Mashed Potato’! Thursday will be a find something on the
fridge day, then on Friday it’s going to be a ‘ Fish n’ Chip Supper’ before
Saturday’s ‘ Steak Night’ Next Sunday we are having a large “ Roast Leg of ‘Halal’
Lamb “ with ‘ Boulangere ‘ Potatoes.
After supper last we settled down to watch
the first episode of the excellent and very gripping return of “ Line of Duty “
– with the three main cast members back, Vicky McClure, Adrian Dunbar &
Martin Compston, see below;
You
need to know all the all the ‘ terms’ used, ‘OGG’ stands for organise crime
group, ‘UCO’ is a undercover officer, ‘AC -12’ is the unit in charge of
investigating police corruption, A ‘ Regulation 15 Notice’ is the investigation
of gross misconduct and the case no is ‘ ED905’!
It started with an ambush, with men in balaclavas,
killing three Police officers as they transferred 10 million pounds of drugs, a
female officer in ‘ AC-12’ was uncovered as giving information on the route to
the gang, to save her cousin, the ambush was led by a female and as it
turned out a ‘UCO’ officer who is the leader of the ' OGG ' gang! The three main
characters all have personal home problems, then finally at the end the female
informant officer had her throat cut! On the orders of the boss of the gang!!
All in the first episode !!
