A DRY & CRISP SUNNY MANILVA, AT THE MOMENT, ON THURSDAY.

THURSDAY 25th/ APRIL 2019.  “ ANZAC DAY “

We had a nice lie in this morning after all the excitement of the last two days, after freshening up Brenda popped down to the local ‘Sub-Post Office’ to post a letter, she had forgot to take her passport with her, so when we checked into the Hotel there was a little problem, they kindly accepted that we would send them a copy ‘ ASAP’ !

When she returned as I was on the breakfast rota I had my usual ‘ Toasted Crispy Smoked Bacon Butty – open on brown for Brenda, with a little ‘ treat’ for her – sautéed ( in the Bacon fat) sliced Button Mushrooms on toast – with some making it onto my Butty, smothered in ‘ HP’ Brown sauce, with mugs of strong/hot tea. After breakfast I shot along to the local Bank in ‘Calle Mar’ to pay the Electricity Bill.

We then prepared the shopping list for tomorrow morning when I’m back out on my travels down to Sabinillas for our weekly shopping, next week I’m back across at the ‘ Estepona Hospital ‘ from Monday, for 4 mornings, at the ‘Physiotherapy Department’ for more extensive treatment on my left-hand.

On Friday evening we are going along to ‘ Bar Castillo’ for a ‘Tapas’ supper, as we are then going down to the ‘ Casa de los Torres’ Cultural Centre to the ‘Jazz Concert’ later in the evening!

Over the past few days, down by the side of the main coast road in Sabinllas the large ‘American’ transporter carrying the ‘Monster Trucks’ arrived, they are going on display on the ‘ Feria’ ground over the weekend.

Overnight the ‘ wet-stuff’ returned, with a vengeance, this morning it’s still a little wet & windy, with dark clouds and overcast, the sun is at the moment trying to break through, only reaching 17 degs+ by this afternoon, from tomorrow onwards we are in for spell of sunshine, lasting over the weekend into next week, at the same time the temperatures is going up a little to 21 degs+  there is still a light ‘ Lavante’ breeze hanging around, so we will have a few patchy clouds around, with the treat of the ‘wet-stuff’ still in the air, hovering in the high ‘ teens’ – low 20s! -  the ‘ Sun’ is back in sunny Manilva!! Watch this space.

On Monday evening as we were going to bed I noticed that Lyn was online on ‘Facebook’ – so we called them, over in Melbourne – as it was morning over there, on the ‘ Facebook’ video chat, they had just got up, so we had a nice news update & chat, as it was Jack’s 91st birthday the following day, they are both very well and were looking forward to the family celebrations “ Happy Birthday Jack “

See them below with Jack and his special 'Essendon' tie on!

This evening for our supper we are having ‘ Grilled Chicken Wings’ with a Baked potato, tomorrow we are out for our supper, then on Saturday it’s ‘ Steak Night’ – on Sunday we are having a ‘ Roast Chicken ‘ with all the trimmings, including ‘ Goose-Fat Roast Potatoes’!

Last night after supper we watched the football as Manchester City beat Manchester Utd, at Old Trafford, 0-2,  to go one point clear of Liverpool, at the top of the ‘Premiere League’ – with three games to go!

As usual as I’m typing/posting today ‘Blog’ I’m listening to ‘ Castle Radio FM 89.2 & Online on the WWW’ – on Monday morning on the ‘ Andrew Charles Breakfast Show’ – the ‘Music Quiz’ came on for the first time this week, it was a 15 second starter clip, we got it straight away, it was ‘The Village People’ with the classic “ YMCA”! Which was correct!!

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
