A NOW ' FRESH ' & SUNNY MANILVA ON THURSDAY.

THURSDAY 14th/MARCH 2019.

I was up early again this morning and after a quick freshen up I shot off across to the ‘Estepona Hospital’ for my final appointment this week at the ‘Physiotherapy Department’ for more treatment on my left-hand, I had a little difficulty parking but eventually found a spot after a bit of ‘ Spanish’ swearing and hand waving! I had my usual tea & tostado in ‘ Tikitapi’ before going across to the Hospital.

Back at the house Brenda took ‘ Chico’ out for his first walk of the day around the bottom of the village, he slept all night on his rug, at the foot of our bed, he’s very good and waits to go out, as I returned ‘ Chispa’ came running up the street to welcome me back!

As I set off it was grey and overcast but it has now cleared and we have a blue sky and the sun is out again, by lunchtime it’s going to be 19 degs+ as there is still a slight breeze, tomorrow it’s the same but a little warmer, then over the ‘ Carnival ‘ weekend is now staying dry, warm & sunny, hovering at around 21/22 degs+ - sadly next week is not looking good, as a new ‘ Atlantic’ cold & wet front hits us! – with patchy clouds, the wind getting up, bringing with it a lot of the ‘ wet-stuff’ all week, dropping  back down to 13/15 degs and by next weekend moderate to heavy rain with thunder storms are at the moment forecast! Watch this space.

Just a very quick update on the football results from last night; Liverpool beat Bayern Munich 1-3 & Barcelona won 5-1 against Lyon, to both go in the draw of the last eight of the “ Champions League ‘ with now four English teams in the Quarter Finals!

This afternoon we will be watching the ‘National Hunt Racing’ again from the ‘Cheltenham Festival ‘ it was very exciting yesterday as ‘ Altior’ claimed a record-equalling 18th consecutive success over the jumps!

This evening for our supper we are having ‘ Omelettes of Choice’ – three ‘ Campo’ Eggs beaten & seasoned, the omelette pan is wiped with Vegetable Oil and cleaned, then a knob of Butter is tossed in with a small dash of the Oil, the Omelette is whisked with a large fork and then half-turned and filled with ‘Cheese’ for Brenda ( grated Mild Cheddar & Parmesan) and a ‘Paysanne’ filling for me ( small diced smoked Bacon, Potatoes, Onions & assorted Peppers)  - then formed and turned out onto the plate to be shaped, served with some finely sliced ‘ French Green Beans and twice-cooked ‘ Frits’

My ' Omelette Paysanne '

Just before I shot off on my travels I managed to get the answer to the ‘ Music Quiz’ on the ‘ Andrew Charles Breakfast Show’ on “ Castle Radio FM 89.2 & Online on the WWW” – it was ‘ The Archies’ with ‘ Sugar Sugar ‘ from 1969! – I’m in the draw on Friday, watch this space.

After supper yesterday evening we caught the latest ‘ Masterchef’ show as the first six contestants went out to work in a professional kitchen, then is was the second episode of “ MotherFatherSon “ over on ‘BBC 2’ with Richard Gere, with lots of flash backs/forwards, all rather confusing, watch this space.

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
