I was up early again this morning and after
a very quick freshen up, as there water had gone off, the ‘Water Department’
were disconnecting the old supply and re-connecting the temporary supply, as
the work starts in ‘Calle Inglasia’
I shot off across to the ‘ Estepona
Hospital’ for myappointment this week at the ‘Physiotherapy Department’- for
the treatment on my left-hand, along the coast road past a still very rough and
windy Mediterranean, as you can see below as the waves hit the jetty in the ‘
Puerto de la Duquesa Marina/Port’ this morning.
As I set off it was as usual grey, windy,
cold & overcast, the sun then broke through, as I reached Estepona, the
clouds started to clear and the sky is now blue, the ‘Lavente’ wind is still
blowing off the sea but the alerts have been dropped, it’s still only going to
be 16 degs+ by lunchtime, the rest of the week and over the weekend is sadly
looking the same, hovering in the high ‘ teens’ with the threat of the ‘wet-stuff’
still in the air all the time, next week is not looking much better, with on
one forecast showing ‘ Mist’ on Monday?! By the end of next week the sun could
be back, with just a few patchy clouds, with the overall temperatures
increasing a little, watch this space.
After I returned Brenda popped along to the
Chemists in ‘Calle Mar’ for some of our prescription tablets, the ‘ Contractors’
have started to dig up the old street at the top of ‘Calle Inglasia’ and all
the temporary water supplies to all the houses/business’s have now been connected.
Tomorrow morning I’m back out on my travels down to Sabinillas for our weekly
shopping, we have no dogs with us in ‘ Doggy World Heaven’ this week, but no
doubt ‘ Chispa’ will come crashing in to see us.
At lunchtime we went along to ' Bar Castillo' for a nice cool drink and some Tapas, sat inside out of the wind!
This evening we are having the rest of the ‘
Chicken & Mushroom Curry’ with Basmati Rice & some twice-cooked ‘ Chips
‘ – for our ‘ Fish Supper ’ on Friday evening we are going to have ‘Pan- Seared
Fillets of Rodaballo - Turbot ‘ with Baby New Potatoes in their skins ( Posh
Fish n’ Chips!) – then on Saturday it will be our usual ‘ Steak Night’ – before
on ‘ Mothering Sunday’ – when we are having a rolled “ Roast Aged Sirloin of
Beef “ with Yorkshire Puddings, a large selection of Vegetables and of course ‘
Goose-Fat ‘ Roast Potatoes!
Yesterday evening after Lee had re-set the ‘IPTV’
system we caught up with all the shows that we had missed as well as then watching
later two ‘ Chef’ programmes, so hopefully
for the weekend we will be back to normal, with all the sport etc, before on
Sunday ‘ Line of Duty’ returns, next week it’s the ‘Grand National Meeting’
from Aintree, over three days from Thursday, as the ‘National Hunt Racing ‘ season
reaches it’s climax!
Thoughts for the Day; See above.
