We had a nice long lie in this morning,
which we needed, we then took ‘ Scruffy’ out for his walk, when we returned we
had our regular breakfast of fresh fruit, toast & tea, as usual ‘ Chispa’
came calling in a little later to see her friend.
The news on Adrian this morning is that he
feels a lot better, there is colour in his cheeks and the Doctors have said
that he could be home on Monday, watch this space.
PS; Rose has just confirmed that he will be home tomorrow, blood tests permitting!

I then with the help of the ‘ Second Chef’
prepared this evenings supper; ‘ Lancashire Hotpot ‘ – my version of the
classic recipe, using both ‘Spanish & New Zealand’ Lamb Chops/ Cutlets,
they are seasoned in Sea Salt, Black Pepper & Tarragon before browning them
off on the griddle plate, the layers are then built up with sliced Potatoes
& Onions and diced Carrots, Celery, Leeks, Parsnips & Mushrooms before
adding the rich Chicken and Vegetable stock, they will go in the oven this
evening and will be served with Cabbage with Acelgas & Pickled Red Cabbage!

We have another glorious day down here on
the ‘ Costa Del Sol’ – the sky is bright blue and the sun was out early, there
is no breeze and in the sunshine it’s warm, a little crisp in the shade but
very pleasant, next week is starting with more of the same but going a little
cooler as the week goes on.
See the picture below of the ' Puerto de la Duquesa' Marina at lunchtime today!

See the picture below of the view across to
Gibraltar & Africa as the sun went down yesterday evening.
At lunchtime we went up to ' Bar Rojas' for a cool drink and sat in the hot sunshine taking in the sights, sounds & aromas of the village.

We are taking things very easy today,
basically doing nothing, because we can, this afternoon we will watch one of
the games over in the ‘Premiere League’ ( Liverpool!) Last night Barcelona won
5-0.
PS, Everton have just beaten Manchester City 4-0 - two very happy Brian's - one here and one over there!!
PPS, Manchester Utd 1 - Liverpool 1 ( The Utd goal was off-side!)

After supper we settled down to watch the
second episode of the new drama series “ Taboo “ on BBC One, about the return of a mysterious
character from Africa, he has with him fourteen stolen diamonds and is seeking vengeance
following the death of his father, his main struggle, as well as being a deeply
flawed and troubled human being, is against the ‘ East India Company’ who during
the 19th century were the equivalent of the ‘ CIA,NSA, and was the
biggest, baddest multinational corporation on earth, all rolled into one
self-righteous, religously-motivated monolith!
The main character is played by Tom Hardy,
who created the story and was co-written with his father Edward ‘ Chips’ Hardy
and he also produced it with Ridley Scott! With Oona Chaplin, David Hayman, Jonathan
Pryce & Edward Fox in the large supporting cast, not to be missed!
Thoughts for the Day; See above.
