MONDAY 2nd/ JANUARY 2017.
We had a nice long lie in this morning, the
village is very quiet as it’s a Bank Holiday, we then took ‘ Charlie’ for his
first walk of the day before breakfast, ‘Smoked Bacon Butties ‘ and mugs of
steaming ‘PG Tips’ No ‘ Reina’ today she’s back with us tomorrow for four days,
‘ Scruffy’ is here this evening for a sleep over, meanwhile ‘ Chispa’ called in
later in the morning.
I’ve had a technical problem this morning
and over lunchtime, my ‘Internet connection’ has gone off, I’ve had all the ‘
Brains’ working on it, Lee gave me some instruction over the phone, with no
luck, then Matt called in with the gang and confirmed the problem, I had a
local main internet provider breakdown and then finally Mano called in and
helped, he did the classic, turn everything off and start again, it worked and I’m
now back online, as you can see!
Today is the finest day, so far this year!
The sun was out early and the sky has now cleared, there is just a little
breeze and by late lunchtime it was warm on the sunny side of the street, we
went up to ‘ Bar Rojas’ and sat outside for a ‘ Tapas’ lunch and a nice drink;
Brenda has the ‘ Chicken Wings & House Croquettes’ and I had ‘Huevos &
Patatas Fritas – Egg & Chips!’ Mano & Anna came along and joined us for
a good catch up and gossip, the rest of the week is looking dry & settled
and then getting a little warmer before the weekend.
For our supper this evening we are having ‘
Steak & Chips’ – then tomorrow it’s going to be ‘ Cold Roast Lamb’ with a
fry-up of the leftover vegetables & potatoes from yesterdays banquet! The
rest of the week is TBC – as we wait to see what comes along!
On Wednesday morning Brenda has an appointment
with our Doctor, Natalia, for a check up/review; on Friday morning I’m out on
my travels for the weekly shopping, it’s also “ Fiesta de Los Reyes – Three Kings
Day “ - so we will meet up with the folks to see the parade through the village
in the evening.
On Saturday we have another dog coming for
a ‘trial’ here in ‘ Doggy World Heaven’ – a older ‘ Jack Russell ‘ – who could
be with us in March for three days, watch this space. Then finally on Sunday I
will be taking Matt, Michelle, Hollie & Charlie back to the airport in
Gibraltar for their flight home in the evening.
Today over in the ‘ Premiere League ‘
Everton are at home to Southampton, Manchester City welcome Burnly and
Liverpool travel to Sunderland.
