TUESDAY 24th/ JANUARY 2017.
I was up first this morning to see ‘ Reina’
back with us for the day, she shot onto the bed with Brenda and they had a
little lie in, meanwhile I went on the ‘WWW’ in the office/studio before
getting ready, ‘Reina’ then went in her duvet and we had our breakfast of ‘
Smoked Bacon Butties’ with mugs of tea.
This morning has started a little grey
& overcast, it’s still very cold & crisp, the sun is due to break
through later when it will reach 18degs, overnight it drop by 10degs, over the
next two days it’s more of the same but now a new ‘Atlantic’ front is heading
our way making it colder and with rain on the agenda by Friday, watch this
space.
I then made a fresh batch of my famous ‘
Minestrone Soup’ using my Tomato Salsa as the base of the soup, I then add Spaghetti
& Pasta, White Beans & Lentils, all along with diced Carrots, Leeks,
Celery, Turnips, Peppers, Broccoli & Cauliflower, Mushrooms and any more vegetables that I can find!
This evening for our supper we are having ‘
Pan-Seared Escalopes of Chicken’ in a foaming Lime & Balsamic Butter Salsa with
finely sliced Green Beans & dry-sauteed, thick-cit slices of Baked Potato.
Tomorrow ‘ Gourmet ‘ “ Dish of the Day “ is yet to be decided, watch this
space.
It’s a at home day today taking things
easy, I’m reliably told that it’s not a good drying day, so today’s washing
will have to wait! We are just pottering around doing nothing in particular,
later we will catch up with main news on BBC & over here on TVE, we will then
catch some Quiz shows, yesterday I got three answers correct on ‘ University
Challenge’! Later we will watch the second part of last night’s ‘ Silent
Witness’ episode.
